Just wondering if anyone here uses them? They're on special at Coles this week (in Perth anyway) for $25.98 a box. I use Huggies, but was wondering what Snugglers were like as they're so much cheaper!

I think it depends on your child and their age etc

We tried snugglers when our DS was about 1 but found they were no where near as good as huggies (as DS really drinks alot so wees alot lol :D )

Just recently we have switched from huggies to Babylove and we are very happy with them, our son is older now which helps. I also love the fact that they are $11 for a pack of 36 :D

Try snugglers out and see what you think, but maybe stick to the huggies for nights, thats my advice

we've been using huggies to our dd since day 1. but its getting too pricy for our budget. so we give a try to snugglers and been using it for 2 weeks now. we dont have any problem on the leakage so far plus it really looks nice on dd's bum for its not as bulky as huggies. but we're still using huggies at night though.

I have used snugglers on DD since she was about 8 months in the day. Still use huggies at night. I haven't had any problems with them. Never leaked. No rashes.

I tried the babylove once and found them to be a bit stiff, not as soft and flexible as the snugglers.

We use snugglers during the day and have honestly have had 3 leaky ones in the last 6 months, but I've also had leaky huggies. We use huggies overnight as they do hold a little more.

My friend's BIL works for huggies and confirmed that they make the BiLo brand of nappies (in the red packet), they just don't put as many crystals in them so they're not as absorbent. I haven't tried them yet as I don't shop at BiLo, but I will give them a go depending on the price.

We have been using mostly huggies and babylove nappies. We go to a place called nappyland in north brisbane and get a box of 104 babylove for $26.00. Also i can buy them online and they will deliver if we need them to.

i suppose you just have to find a nappy right for your child and your budget.

I have tried Snugglers on both Ds's and always been dissapointed...

Baby love are ok and Huggies are great but we use the Aldi nappies branded "mamia" these are THE BEST nappies, even better than huggies and way,way cheaper.

If you have an Aldi nearby definantly worth a try

We had major leakage problems with Snugglers, though I know people who use them without any problems.
I also use Aldi Mamia nappies, they are fantastic and a very good price too.Have never had a problem with these. They are also nice and soft.
Another brand I sometimes use is Woolies Home brand (not the Woolies Select brand) and I've never had a problem with these either.:)

I used snugglers on my kids when I first moved to Australia over 2 ½ years ago - they were ok, but I switched to the woolworths homebrand as they were far superior and cheaper as well! I was unable to get homebrand recently (contacted woolies ... they were having supply problems due to a hugely increased demand!) and tried snugglers again. I used 3 out of the box and didn't touch them again! They were absolutely CRAP!!!! The crystals all settled at the bottom, the tapes and waistband irritated and Dan ended up with a wicked nappy rash!

I have been buying the new coles nappies (not the savings brand - they give Dan a rash too!), and although they are a bit more exy than homebrand, they have performed just as well.:)

Mind you, that said ... as soon as woolies sorts out their supply problem it is back to homebrand!:D

I so love snugglers!!!

I use them on Blair aged 2yrs.

But I must say that when Blair was younger he leaked right thru them... but they now get the thumbs up from us!!!!

We only started using Snugglers when the kids were about 8 months old - we used Huggies before that.

I still use Huggies at night for Nicola but it's Snuggers all the way during the day.
Immy is still in Huggies though.

Snugglers definately don't have as much absorpbency and didn't keep our baby as dry as huggies which is esp important at night. Also, dont wave them in the air to 'fan' your baby (with a clean one!) as all the 'stuffing' moves and you end up with gaps that you can see through in the light!

i really do think it depends on the bub. i tried them and found the 3 that i used leaked, but i know others in my mums group who have had no problems at all.

why not buy a small pack or see if you know anyone using them and ask to try one out??

good luck :D

i switched to snugglers from Huggies when DS was about 3 months old - now 6.5 months old and they are still fine. The reason I switched was 1) price, 2) the fit - the appropriate size for his weight in Huggies didn't fit snuggly around the sides and we'd have to go up a size, which means more $$, and 3) both brands are made by Kimberley Clarke :)

I have heard a lot of good feedback about ALDI nappies too. As a few mums said, get a small packet, try them and if they work, run with it.

The way I figure all nappies will leak at some point - either we haven't done them up properly, or bub's grown and the size doesn't fit properly anymore, or it's one bad nappy out of the thousands that bub will go through... if they leak every time or at least once a day, then you need a different nappy. But the odd occaission has got to be expected I think.

In my mothers group, one mum swears by babylove, but I won't touch them as the absorbancy crystals go everywhere and they were soaked through in under 20 minutes every time I put DS in one. Each bub's shape is different, and I think there can be a variance between boys and girls too.

So my advice, give a small packet of Snugglers a go. If you like them, great. If not, palm the rest of them off to another mother to try! You never know, they may work for their bub!
