How soon do you need to book a homebirth midwife in brisbane?

I've heard that there are only 2 practicing homebirth midwives in brisbane:eek: . Not sure if this is true or not but want to know in brissie how early due you need to book them. If there are only two I'd imagine before conception:(

Basically as soon as you find out you are preg!! Brissy needs more independant middys!

I would think that you wouldnt be able to book them until you have an EDD? i could be wrong though...

The homebirth association would be able to tell you how to get onto midwives!
