Ive just started using cloth nappies, I only have 5 cloth nappies so far, so can I wash them with my other washing or is it un-hygenic? I use a cold wash. It seems like a huge waste of water when my full load is only 5 nappies so ive been chucking them in with everything else, is it un-hygenic?

This is only what I'd do, I'm not sure what others might think, but if you've soaked them in nappysan or similar, I'd bung them with other things in a cold wash as long as you hang them up to dry in the sun - the ultraviolet sunrays helps kill germs.

If they haven't been sanitised, I'd only put them with my other wash if I put the water temp up to 60 degrees, and then dry them out in the sun.

Other people might do it differently though.
Hope that helps:)

It's fine to wash them with your clothes. Like BJ said, line dry them (or use that dettol rinse stuff) and they'll be nice and clean

It's fine to mix, a lot of people do.

You don't need to soak them in sanitiser before you wash them in cold either.

They will be sanitised with 2 out of 3 of these things heat/sun/detergent.

I always fill my machine up so the nappies are always in with other things. I use detergent, cold water and hang in the sun.

I do pre-rinse the nappies first though as I was finding there was a bit of a lingering smell otherwise.

The 2 out of 3 tip is good to keep in mind. Remember, that even when you can't see the sun (ie on overcast days) it is still fantastic for nappies. It's the UV rays that are going to sanitise and remove any lasting stains.

I wash nappies with clothes all the time, on cold, and line dry as much as possible. If I have a heap of pooey nappies then I tend to wash those in a Nappy Only wash.
