strange huh, this area being what it is i thought there'd be lots of mums from round this area posting. maybe not many mums are isolated enuff to need to post?
glad you saw my reply about LBH on your other thread. hey is it as wet down in grafton as it is up here, i'm about 40km east of tabulam, and we've had well over half a foot of rain in the last week. it's soggy as, my car barely made it back down the drive today after heading to town <casino> to escape cabin fever. boy was bubba sick of being at home and hardly going outside. only 3MO and she laughed at me this morning every time I put her down for a nap and just would not sleep. she even enjoyed woolworths she had been so bored
hey when you move back up to lizmore, for bubba stuff check out the lifeline oppie in south lismore, it's the best for all kinds of stuff for little people. :yelclap:

Oooh I love oppies :)
We are in Darwin at the moment...no rain here, dry season, however my family is in Grafton and I think someone mentioned flooding.

ohhhhh, no rain... boy i am a wee bit envious right now, even tho after the big drought i never thought i'd mind rain ever. but tis different with a little person who gets bored if she's inside too much but is too young to make like a duck (she's 3MO and has had a cold)
how long till you move to lismore? btw not sure if you have a place lined up to move to, if not, might be worth doing some looking by phone and internet before you get down, the real estate silliness is fully happening down here and prices are up and avialbility right down. even casino, tabulam and bonalbo rents are wayyyy up. bonalbo fer god's sake!
we've been renting this same place out bush at pre-insanity prices for just over seven years now, and feel pretty lucky to have found a place where the landlord thinks raising the rent would just be outright greed.
dh and I would love to check out darwin one day, so many different mobs up there.

Oh yes I understand the cabin fever of having a small child locked in a house all day while it pours outside....wet season :rain:
Moving to Lismore early October....thanks for the heads up on the rental as we were wondering whether we have trouble finding somewhere. There is quite a bit on the net though at what I would consider reasonable prices...we are paying $320 here.
Hoping to buy something in the not to distant future but would love to be out of town.

yowza, your rents up there are fullon, I'd always thought of darwin as still reasonable about things like that.
there's a lot of not-too exxie places for sale around tabulam, bungawalben, ellengowan etc, but all either quite a aways from a town, or no power to the blocks (and country energy have a good rort going with how much it costs to get that done). everything between casino and the ocean though is just ridiculous price-wise. dh and I figure one of us will have to write a best seller if we want to buy in that stretch of the woods. also though up around kyogle it's still reasonable and there is some luscious country. not the best roads and the wackiest shire council I've ever lived in...they had a deadly deputy mayor, an Aboriginal lady, for a while recently. I'm kinda fond of kyogle shire because it's still got mud on its boots in a manner of speaking. also a good strong arts support and lots of community programs that are accessible to everyone who is interested. also I love mountains and bush and kyogle shire has plenty of that. we can see across to mt warning, border ranges and mt lidsay and all that frm the top of the 'hill' behind us. :yelclap:
