My little man of four weeks old, usually has a hearty appetite but lately he only drinks about 20-40mls per feed, then grizzles so I try and give him more. I can tell that he is hungry as he goes for another feed of about 5-10mls then he begins grizzling again. I burp him, change him and then I try again. He's showing all signs of being hungry and previous to this problem he would be contented after a feed of about 100 - 120 mls. He is still using the same teats, so I assume that the flow of milk isn't too fast or too slow for him. Then there's the matter of trying to settle him as he is too upset because he isn't full. So then I have to cradle him in my arms to put him down to sleep. I want to break this habit. It takes hours just to feed him, burp him, change him then settle him. Then when I've finally done all that, he's ready to get up again. My husband and I are lucky to get 3 hours sleep at night and during the day. Any suggestions??? We are at our wits end. :(

just check - when he is screaming - is he arching his back etc. It could be reflux. Maybe just run it passed your MCHN.
