looking for obstetrician in perth

hi everyone,

im pregnant with my first child but have had some complications in the past so i want to make sure this all goes smooothly!!

can anyone recommend an obstetrician in Perth (prefferably south)

I am seeing Dr Adam Gubbay (he works out of SJOG in Subi) but also delivers at Mercy. He is quite young compared to some OB's, early 40's and is very pro patient, DH and I are fans :)

Colin Blair at SJOG Murdoch was mine, he is lovely and I will certainly have him next time if i can.

I saw Dr Molloy at Attadale Hospital. He is hilarious, straight to the point. he has a bit of a potty mouth but didnt bother me in the slightest it actually made me feel more comfotable with him. I thought he was a great obstetrican. I had a horrible birth first time around( i wasnt seeing him) and he made my birth so easy.

PS maybe it would be easier to pick your hospital first and go from there. All the websites have a list of OB's who deliver there :)

:wave: I'm going to SJOG Murdoch and have had Dr Mincham all along, but he's on holiday now so I'm also seeing Dr Blair. They cover for eachother. Both are very good and there is a real relaxed atmosphere in their offices. Good luck and let us know how you go:yes:

Hi, I'm seeing Dr Chris Nichols (SJOG Murdoch). He is lovely and very experienced. I used him as my fertility specialist previously and now he's my ob :) A few of my girlfriends had him to deliver their babies and all of them highly recommend him.

I have Dr Adam Gubbay as well. He delivers a SJOG Subiaco and Mercy Hospital. He is lovely and is so helpful.

I am seeing Dr Michael Gannon and he is really good. his midwife is the best actually!!

I had Anna Holmes (she delivers at SJOG Murdoch) I cant say enough good things about her! I definetly want to have her next time if she's available.

I had Dr Mike Aitken and he delivers at SJOG -Subi. He is lovely and really listens to you. Dr John Love is another really good OB and they work in the same practice. I have a friend who has been seeing Adam Gubbay and can't praise him enough.
Good luck with finding someone you are comfortable with and don't settle for an OB you are not happy with.

I'm currently seeing Dr Michael Gannon, who delivers out of both SJOG Subi and Mercy in Mt Lawley. He is fantastic! I feel absolutely comfortable with him, and never feel silly or stupid about asking any question that I may have. And his midwife and receptionist are both lovely ladies.

Can thoroughly recommend Dr Michael Price at SJOG Murdoch - he delivered my 3rd. My sister had 4 delivered by Dr Blair. I believe they also deliver at Attadale. An excellent Paediatrician for your list is Dr Slattery (Murdoch). He's seen all 10 of my immediate families newborn's and is in the same complex as the OBGYN's. Good luck !

Hi I thought I would add my 2 cents worth...I can highly recommend Dr Anna Holmes at Murdoch, she delivered both my boys.

Also, Micheal Price was mentioned in another post-I don't think he delivers any more. Anyway I have had experience with him and he is much better as a gynee than an OB...

My OB for DS2 was David Mincham, I was very happy with him.
I have heard that Anna Holmes is good as well, esp. vb.
Dr Price is no longer delivering babies, I rang last year and was told he was retiring.
I would pick your hospital first. I was at SJOG Subi for DS1 and Murdoch for #2, and I really prefer Murdoch.
