Hi. I am from country Victoria and there have been talks with DH work about maybe transferring up to Richlands. Now I need help as I have never been to brisbane and wouldnt know a brass razoo about it. So i need your help!
What are the nice suburbs? What are the ones to stay away from (PM if you want)? I have one child in secondary school, one in primary, and a toddler who may need daycare as I might have to work again. I need somewhere that caters for all of them!
Oh its all to much to think about! I know its only talking of a transfer but i think i need to be prepared. If anyone else has done the big move i would love to hear from you too.
Thanks in Advance
Lanna

Im not sure of a price range yet. :o
Rental prices vary so much when you look at the online sites. We have never rented before, and its all a bit up in the air when you really dont know what the area is like.

If the move happens, we have decided to rent for two years or so just so we know for sure that we like it up there (my biggest fear is being too homesick!). And then i would love to build a house. i think i could work out where abouts up there i would like to build etc in that time.

Thanks for your reply

Hey Lanna,

The best suburbs near Richlands could be Forest Lake (which can be pretty cheap) or maybe Centenary Suburbs like Riverhills, Westlake, Middle Park, Sinnamon Park (but some of those can be quite dear) or there is Inala or Darra (i live in Darra).

As for schools, there are lots of great Primary schools all around the area. There are a few great State High schools and also private colleges, so you shouldn't have a problem with finding a school.

Hope that helps.

ps i just remembered you could even go to Springfield, or oxley, Graceville or Corinda....:D
Richlands is nice andcentral in the Western Suburbs
