View Full Version : Soy full fat yoghurt
My DD has been getting excema so I am taking her off dairy as a trial. However, she loves yoghurt. Does anyone know of a soy, full fat yoghurt I can give her in the meantime (or forever if it is dairy) as the only ones I have found are fat free? They taste like water to me and are unsuitable for her as she needs the full fat.
Thanks heaps in advance

I will be watching this thread as my DS is lactose intollerant and has an allergy to cows milk so soy is our only option.

Hey guys, soy is not the only option. My boys are lactose intolerant and they eat lactose free yoghurt. They love it. There are two brands on the market and they are in the refrigeration section just a little bit aside from the others and usually on the top shelf. One brand is Liddells, can't remember the other one. I think one of them is low fat but don't think the other is.
I also feed them lactose free milk (liddells brand) because I am concerned about some of the claims some people make about soy milk.
Good luck,
D
My dad the health freak said to make sure the yoghurt is fermented whatever that means:confused: Hope that helps!!

Thanks raisingwhirlwinds. Just another quick question (if you know the answer) is always the lactose that is a problem or is it the protein. Just asking as I have also taken DD off cheese, but she liked that too, so I wnated to know if there was anything else out there she could have as an alternative? I will look for the full fat lactose free yoghurt - I did see it once, but thought it was also the dairy in general so went to soy.
