Not sure what to do

Hi all,

I hope someone can help as my DD is quite stressed at the moment. I noticed a few red spots on her face this afternoon but didn't really thinkanything of it as she has a rash which we are already treating.

However we have now been up for hours trying to get her to sleep. She will sleep for 1/2 hour and then wake up screaming. She doesn't wnat to be held but then screams if I put her down. The red spots seem to be changing into blisters but it's really hard to tell.

I have no idea what is wrong - what should I do???? :confused:

mayby it is a teething rash but if i were in your position i would take her straight to hospital because of the meningitis thing.

Could be chickenpox? I know they form as spots and then go blistery.....not sure how quickly though. I'd go get it checked out seeing as though she's not her normal self....just to be safe.....Good Luck:)

Thanks for your help. Followed up with a doctor's appointment and she has chicken pox.

You think of it as "just one of those childhood diseaeses" but it truly is a horrible thing to see your little bub so miserable and sick.
