Wont sleep away from me - AND I NEED SLEEP!

Thank god for Jason putting the computer back on, im doing my head in.

The last couple of nights (and days) G has become insanely clingy. Beyond anything he has ever been before.

Last night was the worst ever. He wouldnt sleep if he was away from me, i couldnt move. I had to lay on the lounge with him snuggled into me. I got no sleep. As soon as id move 1 muscle to put him in bed, he'd wake up - scream the house down till i went back to how we were. I got him to sleep for a couple of hours in our bed, but im not comfortable with co-sleeping with him anymore, he ends up taking the whole bed - im on the edge and i never can sleep as soundly with him there... i need the deeper sleep!!!

TOnight has started the same. Bottle as usual. Daddy took him off to bed so it wasnt me letting go, he slept for 2-3min in there, then screamed out for me again...

Im not in for CC at this hour, and i doubt it would do much anyway.

So so so so so tired....

Is he sick? DD has been a bit clingy lately and I think it's coz her eyes are hurting her (they are a bit gunky, but thankfully clearing up by themselves). Maybe he has some kind of pain somewhere...I usually try a dose of panadol if my kids are like that more than one or two nights in a row. It usually works too, then the next night they sleep fine again.

How old is he? DS is 9.5 months and is going through the clingy stage too, but he goes to bed ok at night. So sorry I don't have any advice on how to get him to sleep without you. But perhaps I can just remind you that he wants to be with you as he loves you so much, and you are the most important person in the world to him. This phase will pass and he will gain more independence. Hugs for the meantime :)

He is 14 months.

CWS - Yeah, i gave him a hit of panadol just before... I noticed he has some bug bites on him too, so next port of call is a dose of anti-histimine... I think he isnt quite right either... Ill ring the drs tomorrow.

Tru- Yeah.. He went through this stage alittle while ago too. I dont mind him being clingy. I dont even mind him having to sleep on me, but i just need a break so i can sleep and recharge too. Im finding myself snapping at him when it really wasnt warrented...


Lordy do i need a good night sleep!

thanks guys. He's in his cot right now... having a whinge... He was asleep till we got up the hallway... I just needed off for a minute.

Ava hasn't slept off me for 2 or 3 mths now. During the day she just naps on my lap... which is kinda boring if there's nothing on tele or if i've read all my forums.
