Hi guys,
I know I have a fast flow, but OMG  my boobs do NOT ever stop leaking. I can feel my let down SO many times during the day!!
Do you think its because I have TOO much milk? I thought that might be because my flow is so fast, but I don't do anything spectacular like feed my baby all the time to increase my supply, so why do they still leak?

How old's your bub?
I had a fast flow and an extremely generous supply - and mine stopped leaking at about 9 months...
HTH :)

Bub is 11 weeks
OMG I have to wait THAT long before they stop?
Geez
I guess I shouldn't complain as I have enough milk for baby.
Funny thing is though, you would think she would overfeed and be heaps fat, but she just bearly puts on the minimum weight every week

She's just being an efficient mammal - don't stress, I'm sure she's doing fine. And yep, 9 months it was before I could go without breastpads. Wish I'd known about BH sooner - I would have known about hemp back then, that way, and would have saved myself a fortune. I should have taken out stocks in pidgeon :p

I understand
13 months and counting.
I have always had lots of milk and obviously my supply has dropped now that Oscar is 13 months old but I still leak milk all the time and get engorged if he doesn't feed for a few hours.
You will get used to it.

Nat is 5mths, and I still need b@@b pads to catch the excess, especially at night - she's just started extending night feeds out, so I get pretty full during the night!! I can't remember when it stopped with DD1, we fed for 26mths, I think it was around 14/15mths. Just enjoy it!!

OMG, and I thought it stopped around 8-10 weeks. I find the feeling of one boob leaking while she's on the other quite frustrating and sometimes just plain "ewwww". I tell myself it's all good -- bubs visibly gains weight & since I threw out ideas of schedule & started regular eating fennel in various forms, supply is great... but OMG it makes for a lot of washing.
BTW anyone got a secret for getting the milk residue out of shirts, bras and breastpads, many of mine have this stiff patch now where they absorbed bulk milk.

try to soak the item as soon after leaking as possible. i use a bit of dh's degreaser on the stains to help get out the fatty breastmilk stain.
as for the non-feeding boob leaking while the other one is in use i found the best way was to stuff a terry flat cloth nappy over the boob. it is good for catching the spray when bubs pulls away sudenly too.
I find the Johnson&Johnson disposable breast pads are the best.
The material ones do nothing for me. The milk just doesn't get absorbed and the milk runs down my boob onto my top.
A few of the other disposable ones (pigeon&nuk) I tried were bulky and folded over themselves and you could see them through my top.

Thanks for all the info in how to deal with leaking in the meantime. I can't wait until I don't have to wear a bra to bed again!

I stopped wearing breast pads and a bra to bed at aound 4.5 months. The only time I leak with when she is overdue for a feed or when I skip the boob and give her formula for a feed.
