Just wondering how all the mums of tall, slim bubs dress them? I'm having a terrible time finding good fitting clothes for MJ  She needs 0's for length, but 000 still fit her little bum  Cloth nappies help a little bit, but not enough.
Is there any specific shop who's clothes fit better than others?

I don't know if you can get them here but O has a pair of braces that hold his pants up. I've found them great. You can put them under clothes so they don't need to look dorky, but O looked very cute in them. We got ours in Germany, there might be some on eBay?:)
Hi Rainbowbrite,
I too have a tall skinny bub. 4months old last week and already 70cm tall. I just dress him in 0 clothes and not worry about how big they look in the waist. I am also using crawler disposables. He still fits 000 pants (just) but that size t'shirt comes up to ubove his belly button (haha) I just mix and match his clothes at the moment. I havent found any special brands. He just has alot of baggy clothes.

We have the same problem. I am lucky though because my mum is a sewer and she takes the waist of pants, shorts etc in. I also buy the bottoms with adjustable waist, I have found that I can buy a size 1 from target and they adjust in enough to fit her, about a 00 in the waist. I don't know of any store that specialises in this sort of clothing but would be interested in others responses as well.
Good luck

I never thought of braces, thanks for that one :)
I wish my mum could sew, or that i had a machine. I priced the drycleaners as they do alterations, but they wanted $11 EACH  The same price as you pay for adult alterations
Maybe i'll keep her in dresses & tights like an olden day baby :p

I just started buying separates for DD1, as she was tiny in the waist and still is! She's now a 2-3 in the top, but still a 1 in alot of bottoms, and she's 3 in June!
Where as DD2 is the opposite, she's nearly out of 00 bottoms, and the 00 tops are a bit big! lol
My little man is in the top 10% for length and the bottom 10% for weight so I know what its like to have a tall skinny baby. He is 15mths and still fits into 000 shorts:eek: . As it is summer we havent had to much of a problem but I know long pants in winter will pose a bit of a problem.
Big W has a good range of bottoms with the adjustable waist so I think this is where i will buy his pants from.

I put drawstrings in just about all of the pants I buy for both of my girls - it is so easy, a little cut on the inside of the waistband and thread a long shoelace or a length of cord through and hey presto - long legs with adjustable waists!! Or for DD1 who has trouble undoing them to go to the loo I thread a piece of elastic through and adjust it to fit but I leave a little extra so I can tie a knot in it for the time being but untie it and make them bigger around the waist later. It only takes a couple of minutes and as long as you don't mind a little nick on the inside of the waistband, it works wonders. If I was a sewer I would do a tidier job but I really don't worry to much about it - who sees it? No-one except me!!
If I buy them nice expensive clothes or 'going out' clothes I get them taken in or whatever by my nan. For all their daily stuff - drawstrings or elastic - fantastic.
