sore itchy nipples

Hi everyone, my baby is due in 9 days!!! (yay) and since yesterday my breasts have been sore (the pain has been very localised) and my nipples have been quite itchy. Has this happened to anyone before? Does anyone know what it means?

You're about to start making milk :) Well, colostrum, anyway!

It's normal. There's more blood pulsing to your breasts and nipples which makes them sore and uncomfortable.

I'm nearly 33 weeks pregnant and have had a little colostrum but my boobs are quite sore and itchy, I think the right one may even be a little engorged. I've tried massage, hand expressing and even a hot shower to get some flow and relief, but nothing.
Anyone got any more suggestions?
