I've been dyeing my hair for ages now, at the moment i have medium brown hair. I really want to try that thing where it's brown underneath, but blonde on the top iykwim. Has anyone done this? How would i go about it? Should i just sort of do the top layer of hair, or what?

I'm not very good at doing anything except straight dying LOL.

I have that hair dye job that you are thinking about doing, i always go to the hairdressers to get it done but i think if you do it the way you mentioned i don't see why it wouldn't work! thats pretty much how my hairdresser done mine, she dyed the bottom 1/2 first then top after the bottom had been successfully dyed & washed out! Good luck id love to know how it turns out as it will save me going to the bloody hairdresser!:o

thanks for the advice....is it roughly half and half? Or is there less blonde than brown iykwim?

I guess it depends on how you want it lol. I hate hairdressers with a passion, so i like to do it all myself....probalby why it usually looks crap lol.

I'll get some blonding stuff tonight and let you know how it goes!
