Hi all,
Yukky subject I know but I was wondering if your bubs had this when they were teething?
DD has been teething for a while and one of her top teeth has just cut through but for the past 2 days she has pooed 5 times a day and it is really runny and so smelly that it makes me gag!
Anyone else had this?
YEP! Teething and diarrhoea go hand in hand. Not sure why but they do. Bubs might also experience a rash on the face and nappy rash.
Hope your little one isn't in too much pain with the teeth coming through!

Yep.
DD1 had 'acid' poo for a day before and the day of her teeth breaking through. She would get really bad nappy rash the day before (from the 'acid' poo) and it would be gone by a day or so after. She might poo up to 6 times a day for a couple of days and then whammo everything back to normal.
We're still waiting for DD2 to show any signs of teething bar dribbling.....
I think the main reason why alot of babies get runny poos while teething is because they put everything in their mouths to chew on to relive it somewhat.
This way they can pick up any and all sorts of tummy bugs. This is what I was tought while studying child development. And as a mum it really makes sense. I guess the only cure is prevention. It's hard but try to keep toys clean and soak in disinfectant if you can once a week at least.

Yes my DD was like that a couple of weeks ago, I thought she had a tummy bug and they I had a look in her mouth and she has two teeth coming up at once. Her nappies were disgusting!!
