View Full Version : AIO's & Pockets
:geek: here......
I'm still learning the ropes with cloth.....but am I right in saying that when using AIO's, you don't need to use boosters, liners or covers ?
And with pockets you do ? But you have to boost them more than say BBB ?
And would you use AIO's and pockets more as a day nappy ?
What do you like better...AIO's or pockets ? Do you notice much of a difference between the two, as in asorbancy, cleaning, bulkiness etc ?

I would still use a liner (keeps the nappy cleaner) and for some AIO's I still use boosters. What is good for day may just need that little bit extra of boosting for night.

Most pockets don't require a cover but there are pocket nappy's that do. I still again use liners (on every nappy) and boosting wise I like boosters like the GK's Hemparoo's that you fold up into it or a Microfibre Cotton Babies booster with a Cherub's Kiss deluxe booster.

Either or, just depends on the day the brand and what nappies are clean.

Depends on the brand. I guess ultimately I prefer AIO's (but not all types). With pockets they worked wonderfully on my little man at night but for my little girl they don't work as well at all. Different nappies suit different babies unfortunately.
Absorbancy wise it depends on the brand. Say for example a Berry Plush v Greenkids well absorbancy wise I think a GK's is going to win.
Cleaning well it's all much of a muchness. Bulkiness again depeding on brand and how much you boost the nappy.
Pockets and AIO's really are just that different in comaprison, it's like comparing an apple to an orange iykwim.
Interesting. Thanks Oscar's Mum.
At the moment I am liking the looks and features of Bumgenius One Size Pockets.
I have ordered BBB for night use, but would like to eventually get into something else for days instead of sposies.
Trying to save $$ in the long run.
I think we need a smiley face icon with a cloth on

Hi!
I don't use a liner with my AIO's or pockets. And during the day I don't use them with my fitteds either :)
I prefer pockets, for the simple fact that I like to 'see' how much absorbancy I have, iykwim.
I always get worried with AIO's that there isn't enough there so I tend to boost them all the time.
So I prefer pockets personally :)
Give them both a go and see what you like
im a pocket fan....
my babe is a really heavy wetter, and AIOs never hold enough... pockets i can just add extra absorbancy and they work great and keep him dry :) they are also faster drying than AIOs
