 Hi there. I'm a newbie here & have been floating around checking out different posts etc to get a feel of the forum. Am hoping some of you can help!! Does anyone out there have irregular cycles on the shorter scale and has found no problems conceiving? My cycles this year have been: 25, 29, 26, 27, 24, 28, 27 & last one 24. I am pretty sure I ovulate and have bought some OTK's to try next week. AF came yesterday, and she pretty much just hangs around for 4-5days. Should I be concerned re; hormone levels as I am 37, and get checked out, or try for the next few months 1st & see what happens? Also my cycles were spot on 28days pre DD. Thanking you, Cheers, Fiona

 Hi there and welcome to you!!

I would say to just give it a try for maybe 2 or 3 cycles first for you to get to know your body a bit better, ie; cm, temps, when you ovulate etc and then if you aren't successful then seek Medical advice. Just because you have slightly irregular cycles doesn't necessarily mean that you will find it hard to conceive but just may mean that you ovulate on slightly different days each month. As you've stated your age, this obviously comes into factor but I think that you should give it a go first!! Maybe just have a blood test just to see where your hormone levels etc are and a general health check, it doesn't hurt!! LOL

Good luck with it all and look forward to seeing you around Bubhub!!!

Hi YM3. Thankyou for responding! You're guna regret it as I have lots more questions (lol) nah just a couple for now :) As you say, yes my age is a factor, and I think I am doing waaay to much reading in regards to possible problems, fixes, handy hints.etc. as one does :) So therefore allot of info is really confusing me or contradicting. Ie: The ol when to bd. Every day or every 2nd day. I have read a "SMEP" (Sperm Meets Egg Plan) recently on a 'miscarriage site' and its very interesting. Have you heard of it? Anyways my question at the mo is: Re: Getting bloods done to check my hormone levels I guess this can be done at my GP, or do I have to go through my OB? Also is there a particular time of your cycle that is best to do a test? I know I could always just ring my GP, but hey just want to test your knowledge :) Thanking you again.. Fiona

Hi Africa. Hows things? Has your period arrived? Have you done another HPT? Sounds positive if you are normally spot on.

Hi CaitlinsMa

I to have short cycles that are a bit all over the place. We have been trying for over a year now and have recently found out that I am not ovulating. I had a 21 day blood test done to check. I am not saying that you are not ovulating, but maybe it's something that you could get checked out. I have now been but on Clomid and feel sure that we will be pregnant in the next few months.

Good Luck and lots of :wizard:

Hey there Always OMM. Thanks for your response. I am going to book into my Gp's tomorrow. No time like the present, and time is certainly not on my side :) . So did you have any ideas you werent ovulating? Like did you still get the CM & other O symptoms? Did you use any OTK's at all? Good tho that you have got yourself sorted, and NO DOUBT you WILL have a BFP very soon. My best of wishes to you too.
