If you are wanting the fitted BBH, they are one size fits all :)

You will need liners if you want bubs skin to stay dry. I only use liners overnight, during the day I don't.

When they just have wee in them, I put them in a dry nappy bucket till I'm ready to do a load. Then I just wash in cold with half the amount of detergent as usual. Just a regular wash.
With pooey ones, I have a 'little squirt' which is a hose that connects onto your toilet to help spray poo off. So I do that then put it in nappy bucket.

They fitted ones will need covers too, but if you had say 18 nappies (a good number for full time), you only need about 5 covers because you re-use them till they are smelly or dirty.

Babay Behinds are IMO one of the hardest nappies to use & clean.

About how many will I need? it would depend on if you want to use them full time or not, maybe try 5 to start with?
Do I need liners with them? I think liners make them a lot easier to deal with poos
If so which ones? I use fleece though silk would be nice
And finally how is the easiest way to clean them- put them in a dry pail until you do a load of washing them chuck them in the machine. If they have poo on them give them a rinse if need be or roll the poo into the toilet first before you put them in the nappy bucket.

I agree.

If you dont know if you want to use cloth I think BBB's would put u off.

Also u need a cover with them so u dont see the cute colours! hehe.

I only use BB's at night as they r pretty bulky imo.

I use AIO's during the day. No stuffing or covers needed! And for me I need the easiest option

BBBs aren't hard to deal with - the same as any other cloth nappy really IMO.

They're one size fits most. DD is 15.5kg and JUST fits into them still. She's got a tiny bit more growing room.

They need a cover. PUL, wool or fleece. I use fleece, and I use my BBBs for night.

All you REALLY need is the nappy itself and then a cover, but liners can come in handy (to make sure your bubs bum stays dry rather than damp), and so can an extra booster if you're using them for night.

To clean - you just chuck any poo in the toilet and flush then stick in a nappy pail and "dry pail." No water or anything... just nappies in a pail... until you're ready to wash.

To wash, you just stick them in the washing machine (with your other clothes, or on their own... up to you...), add about 1/3 of the amount of washing liquid you usually use, and then wash. Then hang on the line until they're dry. You CAN use hte dryer too if you need - on low heat.

It's not hard at all.

If you go to Darlings Downunder you can get a trial pack - they're in stock with the coloured nappies. Make sure you get a BAMBOO one if you want a colour, and specify which colour you want. You can get a white, green or blue PUL cover too... for a bit over $30. There are probably plenty of other places that stock them too... I know I've bought mine from other places before...

DD is 10 months old and a little over 8 kgs What size do I buy? The Babybeehind nappies are one-size-fit-most, but the covers are sized. I'd go for a medium size cover.
About how many will I need? For full time cloth I'd say about 20-24 to start off with. That way you can wash every second day, and still have a few for the time in between.
Do I need liners with them? You can if you like, it's a personal preference. I personally do because they keep bubs bum dry and make the nappies easier to clean due to the poo going on the liner, not the nappy itself.
If so which ones? Make your own, polarfleece.
And finally how is the easiest way to clean them? Drypail first which means nappy goes right into a bucket (no water! MCN don't need soaking!) until you're ready to wash them. Since your DD is 10 months old I'd recommend buying a Little Squirt (a hose thingy that attaches to your toilet) so that you can spray the poop off first before you wash them. After that, they get placed straight into the washing machine (I do a cold wash always) along with any other washing and half strength detergent. Voila! Easy peasy.

I personally love Babybeehinds. They make up the majority of my stash. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Jessie

Where are you looking to buy them? There are a few different sites, and also some places you can get them IRL too.

You don't need Baby Beehinds covers... you can get any brand of covers. THere's heaps of sites listed here at BH that have heaps of different covers to choose from. Before you buy though - check here. People will quickly tell you if they're cr*p or not...

And some lovely ladies on this site knit covers too. I bought one and it arrived lanolised and ready for use  Only cost me $20 including postage which I thought was wonderful (it was an XL size). I always like to buy from WAHMs if I can, rather than big retailers.

Wool is warm in winter and cool in summer, so they're a year round cover. Longies are fantastic for winter time and shorties/soakers are good for summer.

Look at places like Ozebaby, Wahmania, Possum Pouches, Nurture Nappies, Llamajama, Sustainable Hemp Products and Wahm Naps.

OzCloth Nappies (http://www.ozclothnappies.org/links.html) has a massive list of stores that sell baby products, mostly nappies, but some of them will also sell woollies.

If you know how to knit (or someone you know does) it's a cheap alternative. OzCloth has some links to free patterns that are pretty easy to whip up.

i have used cloth nappies when master 4 was a bub but i was the ones you had to fold your self, then when miss 2 arrived i went to disposables as it was a tad easier, but now i am expecting number 3 i an using Babybeehinds fitted nappies i got a trial pack for $250 which included 10 nappies 4 covers, and 10 wipes, i cant wait to use them, the thing i like about they is the ease of washing them, dry pailing and them straight into machine easy peasy, i hated using the nappy soaker stuff

Easy peasy.

You remove nappy, put poo down the toilet, drop nappy into nappy bucket, no water required. Tip bucket into washing machine once you have a load, put in 1/2 detergent and wash. Hang in sun.

Using BBH is really not that hard- just think about all the money you will save! Sure you have to lug the dry pail to the washing machine- but hey- you have to lug a smelly bag of sposies to the bin. (What is it about sposies that they smell so rank- even if there is no poo?)

I love BBH nappies they are so absorbent and, unlike huggies, they never leak!- EVER ( I had to do strip washes and use huggies- it is the only time my son got wet patches)
PUL covers are great but I tend to use wool day and night unless we are travelling or bub will sit on his bottom for more than 2 hours.

Have you considered the new BBH AIOs just got mine and they seem promising- no covers, no soaking, no pins- just like a disposable only better, and for only $17.00 !!!!

Kate :)
