Anyone Interested in a Mums & Bubs Walking Club? (Ipswich Area?)

Hi Everyone,
my name is Danni and I live in the Ipswich area, I am eager to start doing some walking to shed any extra baby weight and was wondering if any other Mums were eager to do the same. We could pop our bubs into their prams and do some laps of a local park or a local area.. we could vary the location or keep it the same and I thought once or twice a week to start with would be good...

I live at Forest Lake but would come for a drive to go walking once a week with a group. You could come down here every so often and we could walk around the lake. It has a concreted walkway and I think it is around 1-2km. I can only go Mondays or Tuesdays at the moment.

Hi Joanne,

That sounds excellent. You are the first to reply so we will just wait to see if we can get a few more of us together and see how things pan out. I wouldnt mind driving to Forest Lake to go walking either, it is a nice area depending on where the Mums are all located we could have quite a varied experience!

Lets play the waiting game and see who else would like to join us... we may be able to figure out a day for next week.

I would love to go walking but I can only make it on a Wednessday when DD is at daycare, otherwise it would make for a very very slow walk:rolleyes:
Maybe we could make it 2 days so everyone should be able to make it at least 1 day

Hi Guys,
because some of us are available on Mondays and others of us are available on Wednesday's (as a majority) how about we make it on those 2 days... What time would we be thinking.. on Monday I am available at anytime but on Wednesday I am going to 'try' a playgroup at Eastern Heights from 9:30-11:00.. so what do you all think?

And how about locations, can anyone suggest anything? Limestone Park has a really good path for walking on now but Im sure there are tons of other places.. So let us know and we'll see how we go.

Hi Guys,

I have sent everyone who responded to this thread a p.m, asking the following;

* How do Wednesdays @ 10:30 sound? (This was pretty much a universal day
that most people have available.)

* This is just a suggestion.. but would you also like to arrange for a Tuesday walk
and then for those who cannot make the Wednesday can come along to the
Tuesday walk instead and for those who can come to both, all the better for our
fitness levels!!! lol. How does 10:00 am sound for Tuesdays???

So have a read of your P.M and let me know what you think about the days/times and either PM me or post back your replies to this board.

We will kick off next Wednesday? How does that sound... (Tuesday is Indigo's 1st birthday.. so I couldnt make it on Tuesday but if yous wanna, go ahead!)

Eeek! What time do we wanna make it girls? Im cool no matter what time we start. I do have a hesitation about it getting hotter the later we start, particularly as the weather has heated up again. We cant do it too early in the morning cause of the mums with kiddies at school and we cant do it too late cause of the heat.. eek! Shall we do it at all whilst its still hot or do we wanna wait a month or so and resume in the cooler weather? whats the verdict??

I have just sent Indigosmum an email. I can't make it for at least a month as DS#1 is in an alternative schooling programme. I will explain this all at a later date. It's too long and detailed to go into at this moment and it will spin my head even faster that it's all going (this all happened today) Hope you all have fun walking and I will get there as soon I can.
