 hi everyone, hows it going? I have just moved back to Dubbo with my hubby and 7 month old son. I thought it would be nice to meet /chat to other mothers in the area.
I grew up here but have not lived in the area for a while. I have friends but none of them have kids yet and I loved my old mothers group. I guess Im a bit lonely:crying:
When did you leave Dubbo, what school did you go to? I sorta grew up there and my Grandparents and Aunt are still out there.
Can't help you I'm sorry, but i grew up in Dubbo....left in 1987 at age 12 though
hope some Dubbo mums come along real soon....:hugs:

Orange here  Not really Dubbo, but yanno, closish :)
Also closish to Dubbo. In central west 4 years & so glad this is where we live. I'm only 5 months pregnant with bub but already i've been able to join a ABA group. Talk to your doctor to see if Dubbo has a mum's group. Having kids seems a great way to meet new people & central west mums seem very friendly.:yelclap:Welcome to the big city of Dubbo:australia:

I could really try and say the same. I am from Broken Hill here, not really dubbo but yanno closish LOL. Dubbo is not close but i consider it closish for me out here, well a closish big town. Wish i had more BH mummies from my town. I had one and she moved away. :shame: Nic :D
Hope you ladies enjoy a catch up or two.
Julymum - gilgandra is a lovely town, when we are travelling, sometimes stop the night there.
Another tip for joining a mothers group, contact your community health centre. They should have a list.

Hi proudmama
Orange is a lovely place to live! Rent can be pricey though, depending on what your looking for. Winters are cold also, but I happen to love the really distinct seasonal changes. There's lots going on here throughout the year as well :)

Hi ladies,
I am having my first baby and have decided to pick up my life from Canberra and move to Dubbo where the rest of my family lives.
I have never lived in Dubbo so I know limited people there but am keen to meet other new Mums or Mums-to-be to gain the inside info on Dubbo.
After I get my feet on the ground, I will be looking for someone to coffee and gossip with.

Parkes is nice. I prefer Parkes... I lived 60kms from Parkes towards Condo so I don't know the better areas but I can ask, I have a couple of school mates still out there... They'd have an idea seeing as they have their own little families now and all...

I've just moved to Coolah outside Dubbo!
No bubs yet... Just started TTC! :fingerscrossed:
I'd love to chat to some local mamas about what hospital to go to, any recommended doctors and anything really! :ecomcity:

Hi AllyHT
i have my :fingerscrossed: for you!!
im not really sure about what dr's or hospitals are good as i had my son in canberra...I did have to go to the dubbo hospital about 1 month ago and even though it is quite 'old' (the hospital i had my son had)the staff were quite nice. sorry i cant really help you with anything.
Thanks for the :fingerscrossed: Lochiesmum09!!! :hugs:
Hopefully it won't take too long then I guess I'll find out everything myself.
I'm probably just getting a head of myself! Way a head!
I was never really into children or babies but when I met the right one it just seems like natural now!

Hi there,
My name is Dee and I have 5 small children, 8yrs, 6yrs, 4yrs, 3yrs, and 22 months. We are moving to Dubbo in Mid Jan as my hubby has a new job there starting in the new year. Totally scared about the whole moving a little family to a place where I know nobody but I'm sure everything will be fine once settled in. Would love to meet mums in Dubbo and be able to catch up and vent. Hopefully we can meet up in the new year. PS Don't worry, I know I have 5 Kids but I still have all my marbles just enjoy a wine to keep me sane on the crazy days. ;)

Hi Susan,
My name is Dee and I have 5 Children and moving to Dubbo mid Jan 2011 and would love to meet up with some other mums who live in Dubbo. Just found this web site last night by accident when playing around on the laptop. We are moving to Dubbo from Syd for my husbands job and I don't know anyone in Dubbo so I am a bit nervious about the big move. My Childrens ages are Boy - 8yrs, then all girls - 6 yrs, 4yrs, 3yrs and 22 months. Please contact me if interested in catching up for coffee late Jan. Cheers Dee
Hey Everyone,
We are also moving to Dubbo in early 2011.
Don't know anyone in the area.....
I have a 3 yr old daughter.
Any info on schools, daycare....would be fantastic
I am on FB kristen dring :cheerleader1:
Really need to know about primary schools - good ones, ones to avoid?
Really need to know about primary schools - good ones, ones to avoid?
Where abouts in Dubbo are you moving to??
I only experienced 2 of the primary schools there so can really only comment on those ones.
And of those I would probably choose Orana Heights over Dubbo West... Though I LOVED my DW teacher... She was my favourite out of the many many schools I went to throughout NSW and Brisbane... But that was Primary(3-6), I'm not sure how good the DW infants (k-2) is... My friends little brothers and sister went there and 2 out of 3 are great adults now...
hi, if you would still like more people to talk to or even meet when you get to dubbo feel free to send me a message. I'm not there yet myself [moving there in april] though i grew up between dubbo and narromine so very familiar with the area.
i have a 3 month old boy and would love to have him socializing a bit more when i get back.
