I have decided to give up the last BF so bubs only has formula now. She is 6 months old and has been on one BF a day for a couple of months now, so my question is~ How long untill my milk drys up? What should i expect to happen(im going 'cold turkey')to my breasts?

Any advice would be gr8:)

heya :) I don't know if it will get too bad for you if you are already down to one breast feed a day. I did the same thing really and no probs at all... I was more paranoid about leakage or pain... but none came. All I can say is enjoy having your boobs back!!! :)

I didn't have any pain or problems after we quit feeding. I had been down to one feed for a couple of months. My only thing was I still had milk for months after. I had also been feeding for 12 months though, so I think that might have made a difference.:)

Thanks ladies! im also worried about leakage in public, i might have to keep a few breast pads in my bag!

So most of you didnt get sore breasts? I hope i dont:D

Hi Jes
Because you are already down to only one feed, it shouldn't be too traumatic. Express off a little if you are feeling uncomfortably full (but only enugh to be comfortable). It should only be a few days / a week before you are leak free, but I could express drops of milk from my boobs for at least 6 months after stopping feeding.

Cheers
