ok, i had my 4 yr old immunised in January. However, i rang the immunisation register to get a copy of her immunisations to put in with her enrollment for primary school next year, and they told me that she had only received two out of the three things she was meant to be immunised against.

I remember that she got two needles, one in each leg. The Dr that did them had NO idea what he was doing, but the nurse gave them to her thankfully.

I just wanted to know how many was she meant to have??

According to the current schedule at 4 you should get MMR, diptheria-tetanus-whooping cough and then polio. So I would guess 3... which One is she missing??

apparently she is missing the MMR.

But i thought they had combined two of them together, and so that's why she got two needles instead of three, less pain i guess.

Maybe give the doctors a ring and see what they have written in your DD's file.
I am pretty sure it is still 3 needles

yep did that and they said that they have recorded two needles which is what is written in her blue book as well.

IF they haven't done them properly, i'm going to be REALLy mad. I think i might even make a complaint.

This Dr told me to start worrying if she got a temp over 42!!! And i know that's way to late to start worrying. I also know that this won't be the first complaint from a patient either!!

Hi ButterflyGirls, i would assume that your doc must have not recorded 1 of them, maybe he didn't swipe your card on the immunisation register, this also happened to me once and it took me ages to rectify it, call your doc to find out.

i've rang the Dr's surgery and they've said they only recorded two vaccinations. Am going over there to sort it out tomorrow.

What happen's if they decide that they haven't in fact given it to her, and do it again when they have done it? IYKWIM?

I'm worried she might have a bad reaction

I just checked my 5yr old daughters blue book and i think that there is only 2 shots, my doc has only written in 1 for DTP which is infanrix, and another 1 for MMR, i think that everything will be fine.

jodie - according to Morgan's blue book she has had the DTP (triple Antigen) and the SABIN (polio) but there is no record of an MMR injection, unless they put two together in the same needle??:detective: and he's written one in the wrong place?

It can vary from state to state I think. We are from NSW but currently living in Victoria. One injection that DS got in NSW is given in Vic as 2 different needles. Perhaps this is a similar situation?
