Looking for a Mother's Group

Hi!
I'm Jody - mother to Georgia (7) and Darcy (12 weeks) and we are movig from Sydney to Brisbane in 4 weeks. We're still looking for a place but it's likely to be around Paddington, Bardon, Auchenflower or Milton. I'd love to meet other mums and so I'm wondering if there are any groups in those areas.

Hi Steph. Thanks for your reply. I am so unfamiliar with Brisbane at this stage, so thanks for letting me know where Chermside is!! We are heading up to find a place the weekend after next and then make the big move on the 30th. Look forward to hearing how you go.

Hi jody,
I'm 24 with a 7yold girl and another due in may. I don't know about groups but I live in The Gap and a group of us bub hubers from the west side of bris (round where you're looking) are getting together on the 13th for the first time. I know that's probably to early for you but I feel this could be a regular event so maybe you might be able to make it to the next one? Have you chosen a school for Gorgia? I've been around this area for ages and know about most of the schools so let me know if I can help. Good luck with the move. :)

jump onto the playgroup australia website and you will be able to located a playgroup in your area, you can go the first couple of time free to suss out if it is for you, the mix of people agaes etc then after that they ask that you pay $28 to become a member of playgroup qld which covers you for insurance etc and free toy library stuff

I too have a 12 week old and we're moving to Brisbane from Sydney on the 8th May. I am originally a Brissy girl but don't have any friends up there with children the same age as Tom. We're going to be staying on the Southside for a couple of months, but after that, who knows, so I'm not bothered about travelling to meet up.
