Just a silly question from a first time mum.. Ds has been teething for a while and when i checked his mouth earlier he is cutting his bottom two teeth (he will be 5 mths old tommorow).

You can see the two 'slits' where the gum is cut and it feels sharp when you rub a finger over it. i am just wondering how long it will be for the actual teeth to appear fully?

He seems to be in a bit of pain at the moment and wants to chew on anything like a dog going mad with a toy in it's mouth.

Im using Panadol when he seems in the most pain. Teething rings etc.

Thanks in advance.

DD is 10 months and is cutting both bottom teeth at the mo! I noticed the first one about a month ago and it hasnt moved much since then but the second one has come through now about a week ago and its already almost caught up to the first one.

I saw on your post that you are in melbourne, if you are close to it the big Amcal in Mordialloc makes a teething elixer and its fantastic! If not its got paracetamol and something called trimeprazine tartrate (whatever that is!!) in it, you could ask at your local chemist to make it up for you.

You can also try a peeled sick of carrot from the fridge during the day, the cold feels nice and it tastes better than plastic!

PM me if you need any more info!
