All I can say is-Google is your best friend!!
Its really hard to organise a hens night,so allow heaps of time!!!
Once you have a rough idea of what you wanna do-let everyone know ASAP and how much they will have to pay.
Good luck!:smiliedance:

Get your group down to Melb, stay somewhere over night, and on that night, hire the party bus!!!

What is your friend like, is she crazy, conservative, outgoing, out spoken, quiet meek? What does she value in life, what does she indulge in? On a normal girls night out what do you do?

Just so we can get an idea of what type of person she is to give you better ideas.

When i had my hens, we went to dinner, kareoke and clubbing after, doesn't seem that crash hot, but i hardly went out in the first place.

Some I've heard of are; pleasure parties (so like a tupperwear party but with **ahhhhemmm** Bedroom hardware ;P), Dayspa, skydiving and interstate trips. One of my work coleges had a High tea luncheon for not so close friends and work coleges.

I had a great all day thing for my hens night and I organised it all myself. It was only my really good friends so I think all up about 8 of us or so. Started out in the morning at a Laser Skirmish place and just run amok in there. Then went out to a pizzeria for lunch. Headed back to my place in the afternoon for an Undercover wear party where we bought lingerie and clothing. Continued in the afternoon with some games like the Toilet Paper wedding dress game and Adult Pass the parcel (just like the kids versions with some x rated gifts) then finished off the night with an 80's themed cocktail party. Was the best fun I've had in ages. Each guest paid about $20 for the laser plus lunch and I asked each to bring a bottle for the party. And I did all the food and prizes for the rest of the evening.

My friend just done one with her cousin. She got a designated driver and they done a pub crawl road trip.

The started at Taree and made there way down to Newcastle, they stopped at each town along the way at the pubs/clubs

They had a blast.

I have seen hen's nights at the local pub lately and they were doing a 'bollywood' theme and got henna tattoos and face painting, looked like heaps of fun. I supose it depends on what the bride to be likes. being a bit older bride to be, clubbing is not my scene but one of my friends did a weekend retreat to a spa down south and had all the pampering and massage etc and loved every minute.

My sister in law is having a "make up night" where we're all going to learn how to properly do our make up and then hit town. Very girly :D

I've been to a few good ones:

Hire a van (have a friend/hubby/not one of the girls drive) and do a winery and cheese place crawl. Stop for a mid morning snack(bring with eg champers and kabana and crackers) stop for lunch and maybe even dinner. Each girls pays a bit toward car and the winery entries plus their meals(ours was$40 plus meals)

Or

Lingerie and sex toy party with food and cocktails

Or

A hens day out (goes all day so poeple choose how much they want to do jic they are $ conscious. I did : lunch at jade buddah in Brisbane, caught ferry to southbank markets, did a little shopping, caught ferry to Stamford plaza where we had chocolate high tea , walked to our cars, drove home to my place, had nibbles cocktails and singstar, then had a sex toy party . Each person chose which parts they wanted to attend and we all loved it . Each person paid as they went along- the invites had itineries and expected costs so everyone knew what to expect.
I have done something similar for a baby shower ( just less walking lol)

The most fun I ever had was at pole divas.
We all learned to pole dance!
Admittedly I thought I'll sit this one out, but everyone was having so much fun. Your group gets the room with an instructor/teacher the bubbles come out, and it's so much fun!!
Also the most original one i've been to.
The class was at about 7pm, i think it was an hour. I can't quite remember. Then we went to dinner and a nightclub.

I've organized a few hens nights that suit each girl...
1. Hire a convertible (with the bridal party) and go to the barossa valley, go wine tasting etc. Out for dinner and then back home to play games.
2. Got the bride to be to dress up in tiara, veil, garter and went to a cute little country town to do dares (eg: go to butcher ask for sausage, bakery ask for breadstick etc...) then went out for dinner and clubbing
3. Went for a picnic in the botanic gardens, then went pole dancing, then dinner and dancing.

I went to a couple of great ones. The first, in Sydney, was a life drawing class with champagne, where the class had an instructor and nude model - male, of course! Then lunch down by the harbour afterwards and an optional jetboating ride in the afternoon. Another was at the Gold Coast for a full weekend, but, like another post I saw above, you just paid for the activities you wanted to do. The Saturday morning started with a stretch limo all-day winery trip through the Gold Coast Hinterland then the evening was dinner in a restaurant and games in the apartment afterwards, using a professional hen's party games service, with a near naked man serving the drinks. The following day was brunch, then spa treatments, then the beach.

I also went to one in Budapest when I was living in London - it was in fact the wedding party, who were all couples, and we did some things together, like exploring the city, and some things separate, like when the girls did spa treatments (Budapest is known for that).
