Hi

I have booked a holiday in Kingscliff next month staying on Marine Pde.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest good restaurants, things to do nearby etc?

Thanks in advance

There is a beautiful Himalayan restaurant on the main beachfront road. Also a fantastic book store in the same shopping strip.

The bowls club also do a good standard roast (and cheap) dinner - however the football club is better.

If you get a chance, pop down to Salt for a look around and try their restaurants - both are very good, and I can highly recommend the pizza restaurant.*drool*

Apart from that, just take it easy - there's not too much to do, apart from a long walk on the path alongside the beach, going to the beach, fishing, or eating.

You can always make a trip to Coolangatta for a change of scenery if you need to.

We're going there again in late summer. I love it - it's just so laid back.

Have a lovely time.:)

OOOh sounds like a perfect holiday!

Beach, books and food!

If you dont mind where is the Football Club? Is that in the main strip?

Dh is a surfer, do you know where the best surfing is?

I plan on doing a bit of retail therapy with a drive into Byron as well.

Thanks so much for your reply!:D

I love Kingscliff - you will have a wonderful time! It's a gorgeous beach and it really is quite a laid back place. Enjoy!

I think there is good surfing usually at Fingal, (spelling??), but as I am not s surfer I could be wrong there!

I'm not a surfer, so sorry I can't help you there!

I can't remember the exact location of the football club - not off the top of my head....ie. the street name....if you drive about you're sure to find it within 5 minutes - or ask a local.

I forgot to add that there is a day spa at Salt too if you want to pop in for a beauty treatment.

Glad to see you'll love the book store - you're a woman of taste obviously!:)

Thanks girls!

The day spa sounds fabulous-will definitely be going there for a treatment.

We had initially booked to go back to Noosa and love the Ikatan Spa there but our latest little munchkin isnt a big fan of the car so decided to not go as far up the coast so glad to hear that I can still be spoilt!

I am so glad you liked it as we havent been there and dont know anyone that has - I wanted to stay at Salt but was a ridiculous price in the school holidays (around $4000:eek: ) so hope our accommodation is still nice! We are staying at the Paradiso.

Yes, I looove books. I cant wait to read as havent for a couple of months since Jasper has started crawling as dont seem to get the time. Dh and I will take shifts between surfing for him and lazing by the pool reading for me-lol.
