View Full Version : Clomid and maybe baby
Can taking Clomiphene citrate (clomid) affect the ferning on maybe baby?
Please help, its day 11 and i am getting some ferning!
Not meant to test for LH until tomorrow (OPK)
I am not sure if clomid can effect the MB. But it never was accurate for me - I would get ferning a lot of the time and it was never correct.
LH tests worked great though
Good luck :babydust2:
I personally wouldnt recommend taking Clomid without proper monitoring via blood tests from your FS (or at least for the first cycle or two).
For me, even though I had BTs I still tried Maybe Baby and OPKs and neither worked even if my BTs were telling me I was about to O! At times I just got days and days of ferning to.

I was the oppostie and couldn't get ferning on the MB at all! However I know that I do ovulate, just late and unpredictable as I don't have a regular cycle! I was also monitered by bloods whilst on clomid some years ago (unfortunately with no success of pg).
This time i used OPK's and we have fallen naturally. So I am an advocate for OPK's for sure!
A chemist would be the best person to ask about what the drug can and cannot affect!
I am just always so impatient and anxious!
I think the ferning on day 11 was more transitional, as they kinda disappeared and had funny little lines after 5 min.
Today it was transitional again.
OPK was Negative (only cd12)
I just have to be more patient.
Ill get a BT on day 21 to see if i O'ed.
