Has anyone tried these? How did they hold up overnight?

Haven't tried them, although there's been a bit of hubbub about them of late. Just thought I'd point out that they aren't 100% biodegradable. PART of the nappy is, but if you include what they call the "accessories" then I think it's a different kettle of eggs. Alllll disposables will eventually break down, say in maybe 400-500 years, and it's great that part of the Safeties will biodegrade in about 8 mths (providing it's in the right conditions, which obviously isn't landfill), but they don't actually state how long the accessories take to break down which could essentially be the same as a regular disposable. Anyway, I'm rambling :D Here's the excerpt from their site that I'm talking about:

Our nappy is 100% biodegradable, breaking down within 6-8 months depending on soil conditions. According to Australian standards fastening, trimmings, threads and accessories are not considered to be part of a product. Saying that, any accessories in our product will biodegrade, depending on soil conditions, but may take a longer time than the product.

Over night- eh. No better or worse than huggies. We use sposie's only at night (due to rash- not leaks with cloth) so I trim off the velcro bits of this nappy and compost them. If I had the choice I would use cloth instead- cloth is the only failsafe no-leakage nappy in our house! Any sposie we have tried leaks over night

If you have a look on their site it explains why they fill up so quickly. I think it's something to do with how they don't use the absorbency crystals like "normal" disposables.

There is some sort of crystals in them though- I opened up a wet one to have a look see. There is a wadding style soaker thingumy and it also has crystals in it..... I was disappointed to see that I must say :(
