View Full Version : mum of 3 new to GC
Hi my name is Heidi and recently my husband and our three small children made a brave decision to make the seachange from the urban jungle of Sydney to the wonderful Gold Coast!! (Runaway Bay) So far we are really enjoying the lifestyle, weather, people, tranquility, and starting to feel like we are settling in here, however the one thing I am really missing is meeting up with friends for coffee with the kids, taking them to the beach etc together, would love to meet some other mums who also crave some adult conversation to break up the day!!!
Please feel free to contact me at heidi@filtersonly.com.au

Hi Heidi
Glad to hear you like it up here on the Gold coast, it is a lovely place i could only wish one day we can move along the coast only because it seems to be a tad cooler there than where i am (Ipswich).
I justed wanted to say hi and hope you meet some locals.

Hello out there! I am also new to the GC, this site and in fact the country! I have a 7 month old son and am loving the bubhub idea but still have my training wheels on!! Any advice welcome.
Hi Heidi,
My name is Jess and I live in Runaway Bay. I live with my partner and our son Tyler who will be 4 in April.
I would love to meet up with you as I fully understand the need for adult conversation as well as a good cup of coffee.
I usually just take Tyler to the beach somewhere or to the park so if you want to meet up and let the kids play, feel free to contact me.
:)
Thanks for your message neighbour!!
Have you got an email address, perhaps we could arrange via email time to catch up whenever suits you and Tyler.
Look forward to meeting you both.
Heidi

Hi there,
Well I am probably not the best person to ask right now as this is the hottest summer on record for many years, so yeah..... it is a bit hotter than I like right now, but when it cools down a bit it will be such a treat not to have to rug the kids up in scarves etc to go outside and everyone getting sick from the cold winds etc.
Goodluck whatever you choose, home is where the heart is they say, if your hubby got a good job offer I would definatlely give it a go, what have you got to lose? if you really don't enjoy it a year or so later, you could always go back. We are just renting our house until we decide for sure, that way we can stick our toe in the pool without jumping right in!!!!:D
