3 under 3!!

I am the proud mum of three children born in under 3 years!, so when my oldest was still two and turning three in six weeks we brought our third babe home from the hospital! there is exactly 17 months between oldest two and the youngest two, funny huh? so we are a pretty busy family and I am really very happy that I have my children so close together. Of course I get snide remarks from strangers (like it is any of there business anyway) are they all yours? don't you have a TV? are you out of your mind?. I truly do prefer it this way, of course I have days where I feel like a train has run over me, but when they are all school age, they will have alot in common and hopefully be best friends, be able to share clothes, games, friends, and interests that children with large age gaps don't have as much of (I know from experience there is 5 years between my next brother, 7 between my sister and 9 years between my youngest brother) and growing up I was more a second mum than a sister to them (which was also very special). So anyone out there who has packed an instant family into as many years good on you, do what works for you and enjoy them, it will all pay off in the end (so I am told!!) and you will still be young enough to enjoy your growing children. I am a young mum also which causes some eyebrows to raise when I say I am 26 and married with 3 children, some people are really quite shocked, but again I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm glad to hear you have had such a great experience! I am going to become a mother to three under three in about 7 months! My 2 sons are 12 months 10 days apart, and the oldest, Logan will be 2 years and nearly 3 months when the third is due! None of the kids were planned, dh and i go by the whatever happens philosophy LOL. But they are all very much wanted, and we both wanted our children close in age. I've loved having my 2 boys so close together, and i'm really looking forward to meeting the newest addition!

Hey Heidi,

we too had 3 under 3 DD1 was 2.10mths when DD3 was born so between DD1 & DD2 there is 18.5mth & DD2 & DD3 there is nearly 16mth....yep iam busy but i LOVE it, we get the snide remarks too, but it isnt like those ppl watch or look after them all day so why do they complain at US:rolleyes: Well we have also decided to have a 4th bubba YAH:p & we are hopeing that it will be born before the end of the year (more like Oct/Nov - ends) so i'll have another 3under 3 & 4 under 5:eek: & we cant wait!!!!:D

wow, that is fabulous!! hope all goes well, you should be trying right now to get pregnant, or maybe you are already.

heya :) i have two beautiful daughters, my second was born 3 days before big sisters birthday.. so i just scraped in for 2 under 2. youngest now being 3 months and i thought i was preg again. turned out i wasnt but then i started thinking i'd really love to have another, if it happens this month bub#3 will be born at exactly same time of year as other 2. i'd love 3 under 3. its amazing having the kids so close. i'd love 4 under 4 :)

Well lots of mums have 4 under 4, these days there is alot more help available for mums and if it works for you, then probably best not to drag having children out so that the oldest and youngest are nearly in a new generation.....

Good luck with no 3, hope all goes well. I don't think I will be having any more now, the workload of 3 is very much different than that of 2 in my opinion, juggling takes on a whole new dimension!! not that I would change a thing, I adore my sweet cherubs and in my heart I could honestly have 10 more, I just worry about my grey hair levels when they are all teenagers!!!!
