When To Test...

Hi Ladies

I figured you guys would be the perfect people to ask...

When is the best time to take a HPT? I have a gut feeling that I am pregnant and there is an extremely high chance that I could be.

I am going insane thinking about it because I am newly single and worried :hair:

I am 6DPO atm. Due for AF on the 14th.

ETA: A pregnancy is something that would be hard to handle right now, particuarly being on my own but I would be very happy all the same!

i say try, even though its hard, to wait till AF is late. Its so much less stressful for you, trust me i know, i tested early so many times :o It drove me up the wall.

I thought it was 10DPO, even then it's not very accurate. I think when they claim 99.99% accuracy it is based on testing after AF is due.

Some tests work upto a week before AF is due.... if you are impatient like me you could try then.... if you aren't and are patient test around when AF is due...

Well I'm 7DPO and I was naughty and tested this morning but got a :bfn: so still too early. I don't know how sensitive the test was though it's a fortel forelife extra! I used the ultra with Noah and they were really sensitive but I think they are now off the market?

Be patient... I found that the best test was First Response 5 day early test.... so wait a few more days and test... or go get a blood test in a few days to get a more accurate result.

Hi,
I tested around 9dpo and got a BFP.
*Blood test at 11dpo HCG levels were 79 (very low).
*14 dpo Hcg 139 (there was HOPE! for a strong pregnancy)
I then M/C day 17 - I regret not waited until AF was due - I would of just thought AF was late (and heavy!).
Next time i am going to wait until AF is a WEEK late!

:hugs: It's probably just too early. I think eggs start to implant from about 7DPO, and I think it's impossible to get a BFP on a urine test before implantation. So hang tight! :thumbsup: The fortel ones are pretty sensitive so keep trying!
