We Looooved Caloundra!!

Hi all.Just want to let you know that we think you live in the best place.DF,myself and our 2 littlies had a fabulous time in Caloundra during our 2 week holiday.What a great area:) .We did heaps while we were up in Sunny Qld.Checked out Australia zoo,Underwater world,went on two ferry rides (Maloolabah & Brissy),we took Kailee on her first pony ride,went to the beach of course and the park at Kings beach was fab.We looked all around Caloundra as well as the areas surrounding,such as Little Mountain,Golden Beach,Pelican Waters etc.DF has teed up work for when we arrive next April which is wonderful and Kailee and Broden had a blast:smiliedance: .Really looking forward to moving up next year.The only thing that does concern me is getting Kailee a place in Kindy or pre prep.Is there a long waiting list for a place.I'd love for her to get into something soon after we arrive.She loves going to kindy here and I wouldn't want her to miss out. Anyway,time for me to get a few thing done before Bub wakes up.Take care and enjoy the sunshine.Cheers Deb x

Glad u love the Sunny Coast as much as the mums on bub hub do! I think im on holidays everyday (except when im at work:thumbsdown: )
Glad your moving up and we will have to get together when u do. Pity about the kindy situation, I had the same problem with my 9 year old when we first moved up here. I placed him into a state school prep until a spot became free where I wanted him to go, he was fine with that.

So glad you guys had a great time!! It is just wonderful here. We moved here over 4 years ago & haven't looked back. I'd never want to live anywhere else now!

I'm not sure about the school/pre-prep/kindy situation. I know the school near us has a notice on their sign saying "enrol now for prep - year 8, 2008", so I guess they still have places available.
