Hello - I'm new!

Hi all,

I'm Kat, 22, Married - 4 years, 2 Dogs, and buying our own home. My hubby and I have been talking about it for months (well years actually, we have both wanted a family for ever!) and have decided now is the time for us to start our family.

So, off to the doctor I trotted to get my blood test, and make sure I had the rubella shots etc...finally, 2 months later we are all set to start trying!

Ive been off the pill for almost 18 months now, and I have lost almost 15 kilos to put myself in the healthy weight range for my short (vertically challenged) height.

Its so scary making a consious desision to start a family, but we are so excited.

I'm looking forward to being able to get advice here, and never know...maybe once we get preggers (soon we hope) I might even be able to help out someone else!

Sounds like your well and truly ready to have a baby, isn't it nice to actually be trying to get pregnant instead of worrying it will happen by accident when your not prepared. I had a couple of scares in high school and was relieved when the test came back negative, it was so exciting when my hubby and I started trying and we didn't have to wait long, I got pregnant in the first month.

Narella, congratulations! Is this your first child too? We can start trying in just a few more days, and I'm so excited and nervous all at the same time! I'm hoping for a fast pregnancy too! :p

Hi Kat!
Yes this is my first baby, hubby and I had an idea of when we would start
trying, you know pay off the car and try and get a little money in the bank.
Also, I told him I wanted to play one more year of good hockey and try and
win a premiership (didn't win, runner up) before I am a busy mum and probably
become really unfit! :eek:
By the time we started trying hubby was really keen, we thought it would take
a while and he was worried his clock was ticking, he's only 32 mind you :rolleyes:
