2nd/subsequent labours did they start the same

Hi All,

I was just wondering if for your 2nd or subsequent labour if they started the same. With DD the first sign that something was happening was losing part of my plug in the morning (which I thought nothing of as I had read that it can happen weeks before the baby is born) but then that night my waters broke.

Has anyone had their labour start the same way after the first or does it change for each one?

Totally different each time for me.
DS was born the day after he was due. I went into labor naturally, but had no signs of it until the first pains that woke me up at 1am.
DD was born 9days late, I was induced with her.

ds1 waters broke with no warning and only a trickle
ds2 induced over due
dd pre labour contractions for days with thew plug coming out over the week before and waters broke with a gush

Not at all.

With DS1 I was woken at 5am with niggling contractions that were irregular. Up until this I had no signs of labour starting. I had a 50hour labour

With DS2 I lost my plug then had a show and contractions started soon after. I had a 10hour labour this time.

DS1 it started with my waters breaking in a huge gush! Contractions started not long after.

DDs started with losing my plug over a few days prior then my waters sprung a slow leak. Contractions started not long after.

DS2 it started with contractions. Woke up to go to the toilet and had a big contraction when I stood up after getting out of bed. Went to the loo and contractions came regularly from there on.

So I guess mine were all different!
