I need advice! My 18 week old DD has begun to sleep on her tummy when she's in the hammock. She usually isn't a tummy sleeper, at night she sleeps in her bed and on her back (although she prefers sleeping on her sides). She only sleeps in the hammock during the day and its the only place she can go to sleep. I've tried to put her in her bed for naps but she won't have it, she ends up rolling over all over the bed and gets very angry and then can't sleep.

She has been rolling over for the past 4 weeks and everytime I lie her down for nappy change, playing on her playmat, or naps, she'll instantly roll over. What's that about? She's generally VERY active, even holding her is quite exhausting as she squirms like a fish and is always interested in her surroundings.

What I'm concerned is (besides SIDS) that her face is nuzzled into bedding and it may hinder her breathing. I've tried to change her position but she'll go back to her tummy again soon after.

I don't understand this behaviour. I was a hammock baby myself and in my culture babies sleep in the hammock exclusively during the day and none of them (that I know of ) sleep on their tummies! What should I do???
