Bread Makers!

I'm interested in getting a bread maker but am so confused as to what is out there!

Does anyone recommend / not recommend a particular brand??

Anything I should make sure it definitely has? eg. so far I've been told that I should get one with a preset timer on it.

I've looked on ebay - and noticed a question somone posted to the seller was "does this bread maker make the dough" - why would they ask that?? Should I be making sure my bread maker makes the dough?? I thought they all did! Don't you just put in all the ingredients and it does it for you??

just a tip - if you can - borrow one first??? we were going to buy one... but my FIL lent us his.. and honesly... it just sits on the shelf now (after three whole loaves of bread!! ) we thought we would use it sooo much...

Although my parents use theirs everyday... I'll look this weekend at what brand it is... it is the second or third one she has had- she makes sooo much bread!!

the pre-set timer is definately a must... Mum puts the bread on,.. goes to bed and in the morning there is fresh bread for breakfast... no fuss!!

Hi Trix,

I have a Breville Bread Maker and i couldn't live without mine.I use it every second day as gluten free bread is way to expensive to buy in the supermarkets.

My model is Breville bakers oven 290, it's preset timer is 13hrs so very good for waking up to hot bread in the morning:D

Mine makes the dough, just chuck all the ingredients in and hey presto you have bread.:D

Set me back at $170, but worth every cent..:)
