View Full Version : 1st Birthday Party Lolly Bag Ideas
Hi there,
We are approaching the day when my little man turns 1.....and we are having a combined playgroup party with 4 other bubs also turning 1, just wanted to see if anyone had some good lolly bag filler ideas for the 1 year olds, as obviously lollies are not an option.......
Thanks

What about some Tiny Teddy biscuits? Cheesesticks?
oooh lots and lots of noisy stuff ... then give them the bag JUST before they leave... muh ha ha ha ha ha haaaa!!!! :D
- sorry .. .not much help!!!
everything I can think of is too small for one year olds... although once kids can BLOW .. they love those noisy whistle things that blow in and out....

How about rusks or those fruit flavored sticks? you could even buy each child a baby food can, a nice chocolate mousse or something like that! (sadly thats all my daughter will be able to eat when she turns 1,all the others will be able to have lolly bags!)
Maybe some dried fruit?
Bubble blowing kit (small one)?
Balloons?
Hmm will keep thinking.
I would put in a heinz fruit stick, heinz bread stick, Jar of baby food, and maybe a beanie baby. I have seen the sesame street ones and they only cost $2 so depending on how many you have to give out these would be an option. Just don't include anything that might be a choking risk.

I'm just goint to give each bub a balloon to take home as they leave, but then I'm crazy and having 10 babies at the party - anything else would just be getting too expensive!! and I couldn't think of anything else!

Balloons in my opinon are a huge choking hazard, but this is just my opinon :)

For CJ's 1st b'day party, we put marshmallows, balloons, a bubble blowing kit ( like the wedding bubbles), a little toy ( the parashuting dudes in the party section). I cant remember what else.
Tiny Teddies are a great idea though!!
lol, if we are going down that road, isn't the lolly bag itself a hazard?:rolleyes::D

How about a packet of Sunbeam Sultanas, any of the Baby Heinz fruit sticks/bread sticks/muesli bars, or some jars of baby food like the fruit gels?

Not if you use paper bags - lol. I have seen these used for the under 3s and they work pretty well:)
I don't like balloons either but I guess they are ok if blown up. Not blown up they are major choking risk.

Hey.
We just had the 1st birthday party yesterday and in the bubbies lolly bags I put:
2 fruit ice pole thingys - the ones that are natural and all fruit in a plastic tube that you put in the freezer.
2 balloons.
1 bubble blowing thing
plastic party toy - i found tiny frisbees that you got 4 for $2.
some lollies - natural confectionary company ones
Freddo frog
I did buy the mini packs of sultanas but DD has been going through them all that I didn't put them in!!!

well why dont you get a noodle box place a cup cake in it with your son's name ect on it and have a balloon tied to it with the clour theme your having.
make butter cupcakes with plain blue icing and write with white icing you can get all this stuff from your local supermaket and balloons should cost like 99cents each umm and you may want to add a toy of somekind as well from your $2 shop.
i hope this will give you another idea

What about little baskets instead of bags or boxes? Then they can play with them again.

i found packs of 4 colourful plastic plates (they had balloons and smilies) at fdb's they were dishwasher safe and put some things in them and wrapped them in cellaphane. I think i had:
pack of tiny teddies
balloons
kids pretend plastic sunnies (4 or 6 in a pack i think)
crayons x 2
lollipop
can't remember what else....sorry but they worked well.
