Hey!

If anyone can recommend a good paed on the Northside of Brisbane- I would LOVE to know who they are!!!

We were just told on Tuesday that DD has a hole in her heart and we want to get a second opinion and possibly get her booked in for an U/S to see how big it is, if there is one at all.

We live at Redcliffe, so preferably close to there!

Thanks,

J.

I would recommend Dr Phillip Harvey, he is at North-West Clinic at Everton Park.

Very lovely and understanding man.

I second that. We go to Phillip Harvey too, and he is lovely. Has a great manner with the kids.

I not even knew, that there are proper paediatricians. I remember, when DS 2 was born, there was one but I guessed, he's just there for the birth resp. the after birth check ups until you leave the hospital.

I just assumed, that you only have the family docs here. And I'm not that keen on all of them in the aerea..

So i may just give him a call and see if he takes on new patients.

Thanks for the infos.

Mokar, cross my fingers, that everything's ok with your Daughter, good luck :fingerscrossed:

Hi Coffee, just to let you know. You will need a referral from your GP to see the paed.

We have use Dr Barry Steinberg for our DD, he is at Northwest and also at Strathpine Specialist centre.
He has been great with DD, who was born 6 weeks early and has also had silent reflux too.... she is doing really well now :smiliedance:

I know its not exactly northside but we travelled from the northside to see Dr Bruce Lewis at the Wesley Medical Centre in Auchenflower.

I have had a LOT of experience with the Wesley hospital in some very serious situations and they have just been fantastic every time.

My Dad had bypass surgery, mum had brain surgery and recently my son had surgery on his hand. Dr Lewis was great with him and also referred us to a pediatric surgeon called Dr Peter Borzi who also did a great job. So if you ever have to go down that road.... fingers crossed you wont...

May I just add, my dad, mum and son are all doing perfectly fine!

just another  for david levitt .. my dd and ds1 see him .. very thorough and great .. we have spent ages in there with him ..

my dd has some serious reflux issues atm ... so ours is a little bit complex and i would be happier if had access to him at all times:laughing: ..but for most stuff he is generally accessible ..

guys,

does anybody hear about John McCreanor at Kippa Ring (Peninsula Private Hospital)?

How is he? Is he a good doctor?

We are going to see him and your feedback is much appreciated!

Thanks!
