Chesty cough and blocked nose!

Hi, my 6.5 month old DS has bronchiallitis (sp?) (not bronchitis) and has a terrible chesty cough and now has a blocked nose. The doctor didn't prescribe anything as it is only viral, not bacterial. Are you able to buy any decongestants for babies or will they only give saline drops?

For my little one, I used Vicks Baby Balsam (not as harsh as the normal Vicks), a vapouriser in his room and lifted the top of his mattress up. None of this fixed him but did make him feel a lot more comfortable.
