View Full Version : 10 weeks left til the wedding. What else?
I have booked the photographer, celebrant, caterer and the hairdresser/make-up artist.
What else do I need to do?
Where online can I buy cheap decorations?
What can I use as a centrepiece?
We are just having fingerfoods.
Congratulations hope all goes well for you:thumbsup:
Have you tried ebay for your decorations?
I went to a wedding a while ago they had candles in large vase (which i am pretty sure she hired) in sand as the centrepeice on each table it lokked really cool.
Have you ordered your flowers yet?
Good Luck and happy planning
Thankyou.
I have not ordered the flowers as we have to go to a freinds place who is freinds with a florist. So should get them cheaper. :fingerscrossed:
I just have to book the marquee, chairs, tressels etc.
Where can I get them chair covers and sashes from?
Can you hire them?

A friend of mine is organising her wedding at the moment - she's a huge eBay fan and has gotten some great bargains with decorations.
Most party hire places do chairs and covers, but if you are wanting to save a few dollars, consider just getting covers for the bridal table. That's really the only one that's going to get into the photos anyway :)
Are you having special cars or transport?

Any music?? Have you got your rings and everything you need to wear??
We bought lots of bits off ebay or Sparties Party Supplies (which is part of some spotlight stores)
Hope you have a great day!
DF organised the cars with a few mates of his.
I have my dress, shoes and the birdesmaid dresses.
We only need the covers for the ceremony as we are having finger foods no sit down meal which will be followed with a BBQ.
My ring is on layby need DF to come shopping with me. I have the music to walk down the aisle with.

If you have chair covers & sashes, I've come across a few really cheap ones on ebay (like $2 for sashes and $8 for covers, there is a minimum buy of like 25 or 50 though I think).
Table dec's:-
* I picked up some organza from a fabric store yesterday and it's only costing me $20 for 14 table runners of 3m each (my mum's a sewer and putting a rolled edge/hem on them).
* We are having rose petals scattered over the table (real ones as my aunty owns a florist and they're saving them for me, so maybe your friend can do the same?)
* Maybe a candle & sand/rocks in a vase of some type
* Table name stand (like a number but we're naming the tables)
By the time you add the placecard and bomboniere the table is pretty well full and you don't want it too cluttered IMO, so I should be able to get away with it costing me well under $200 for 14 tables!
Have you arranged an MC/entertainment (we're just having cd type of music - a friend has some portable thingy - not my department!).
Good luck!
we will just use cds.
When do the invitations have to go out?
I have the rsvp a month before is that right?

Sorry, I took too long to post, so the table runners etc probably won't be useful!
However, if you wanted something to jazz the location up a bit, maybe some large potted topiary type plants (I think you can hire these, depending on where you are).
I'd send invites out 6-8 weeks prior to the date.
