Obsessed with my Breasts!

No Im not obsessed with my breasts my DS is :eek: :D :confused:

He has become fascinated with them, wants to touch them all the time, pats them and says "Boob" I have never really labelled my breasts so have no idea where he got that word from.

I used to shower with him all the time, but have had to stop as he was constantly giving me nipple cripples (very painful)

I know he is only 19 months old and just being naturally curious but I really want him to stop. I have tried telling him "no they are mummies, dont touch" but this just seems to peak his interest even more. He even has tanties sometimes when I say "no" to him touching me.

I dont want to make a big deal out of it as I know its natural but at the same time I think its important he learn to respect other peoples bodies iykwim :o

Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Any ideas to help him get over this obsession?

LOL, my 19 month old is obsessed with mine too...but thats because they contain his favourite food;);) LOL......sorry, I havent got any advice whatsoever:o :o

That's funny....LOL.....well, not for you I guess.

Ummm, I didn't know Ry knew the name for them either until he went to his Nanna at Christmas , and being smart, pointed to her mouth and said 'MOUF!', to her nose and said ' NOOOOOOZZZZ', her eyes and said 'IIIIZZZZZ' and to her boobs and said 'BOOOOOOOBIEZ !'. Umm...not politically correct.....

Well, maybe he just takes after his dad :rolleyes:

Sorry, no real advice here either. But be happy that your boys don't call them 'titties'...my almost 3yr old DS does thanks to DH:rolleyes:

Sorry no help here either, except maybe keep doing what your doing and not make to big a deal out of it, just gently try to distract him or something.
Matilda is obsessed with nipples and bellybuttons:rolleyes: because it has been so hot her dads shirt is often off at home, and she is always making a grab for them, the other day i was getting changed in front of her, she hasnt seen mine for a while because they are usually contained, hehe;) , anyway she starts exclaiming 'ohhh' and trying to grab them, like 'wow, now there is some nipples':p oh and whenever she sees Coops getting his nappy changed she makes a beeline and tries to grab his willy, she finds it very fascinating, so you have to get the nappy on real quick because he panics, 'quick, mummy, itty coming to get my willy!!'

I have found that just treating them and anyother body part has made him not really care too much.
O has an obsession with pointing to every part of your body and wanting you to name it so he can repeat it. So I guess I've always made the point to him that it is inappropriate to pinch any other part so boobies aren't much different.
For me, I think at 18 months my O is too young to understand about 'private parts'. He just wouldn't get it at this point.
Anyway, my advice, as Erin said, don't make a big deal and he'll forget about it.

Sarah - Jenna is always sitting on lap and reaching down my shirt trying to grab my nipples. I just pull my top up and say "no, they're mummies" but I guess anything we say they can't have - they want. She also calls them 'boobies" and I don't know where she got it from,

I guess it's normal and keep doing what you're doing. I was actually wondering how other people handle this so thanks for bringing it up.

I can't help you either I am sorry. Shane has a fascination with them at the moment too and I didn't BF. I went to a birthday party for a friends DS a in December and there were a few other mothers there with their children. They made no attempt to speak to me or my 2 boys which I wasn't happy about, but I don't really care. I just decided to sit by myself and watch the proceedings. I am quietly sitting enjoying my drink when Shane grabs the neckline of my shirt and proceeds to put it down exposing my gorgeous "house bra" (as you do) I could have died there on the spot. :o :o He likes to look at them when I am getting dressed in the morning.

DS#1 was with his Dad one weekend. He was 2 1/2 at the time and I had gone out for the day. They decided to walk to Mcdonalds for dinner. They were walking through the doors when a group of women came out. They waited for them to pass and DH says that Joshua pipes up and says "nice boobies" I am so proud (NOT) What can you do when Daddy is a booby man?

Reading these Im wondering if im going to have a problem in the future with EJ as I do refer to them to her as boobies and she knows what the word means as in where food comes from (her eyes light up etc lol) - hmm hopefully she wont come out with it inappropriately (when shes older and can say words) in front of others :rolleyes:

I am trying something new, everytime he goes for my breasts I redirect him to his own!

LOL I showed him that he too has quasi boobs :D so now he is very interested in them LOL

I hope this faze passes quickly as he looks rather like Austen Powers while rubbing his little nipples :eek:x3

Lets just say I wont be taking him out in public wihout his shirt from now on :eek:
