I am soooo excited .. I am getting one for my birthday - cant wait to see how Jack goes in it!!!!! :D I had one when I was a kid and mum has so many photos of me laughing in it...

I think they are supposed to be in there for about 15-20 minutes?? at least at first... otherwise it is too much for them.

xx

I have one each for my boys and they LOVE IT! One of my boys cries when i take him out....I was told you can leave them in for however long they are comfortable upto an hour..but thats just what i heard through the grapevine.
On another topic..I was wondering if anyone wants to chat.I have 7 month old boys and would love to chat and maybe even meet up with mums of twins or mums of bubs around my boys age.Email me... the_sly_fox69@hotmail.com

Why are you getting one for your birthday? I thought you were ment to get pressies for yourself on your birthday...or am I just a bit selfish?

I used to put DS in his for as long as he was happy...or until I had done whatever i was trying to get done when he started crying. Sometimes he was so happy in there i would leave him there playing, walk away to get a drink and he would be asleep by the time I got back.

They are the FUNNIEST things ever!!! My ds, who is 7 mths, loves his Jolly Jumper... And I think I get just as much enjoyment out of watching him in it as he gets bouncing around! He even gets a little bit of a run-up now to try and grab the door frame. It was quite funny when I put him in his walker for the first time; he tried to "jump" with his legs and looked a little disappointed when he didn't bounce.

A great idea that we have used over the summer has been to pop a little pool (I got a great blow up one for $4.00) under it filled with a little water. I put some floating toys in it and my lo loves to splash and kick around in it when it's hot. I just put a towel under it so he doesn't wet the tiles too much. It's great to watch!

umm about 3 months?? they have to have GOOD control of their head ...

CWSMUM - oh hon... I honestly couldn't think of anything I wanted when they asked... and I SOOOO wanted Jack to have one :) I'll be happy just to see him happy (with any luck he'll love it so much that it will mean a little less rocking for me as a bonus :) )

I bought Ava a Jolly Jumper for Xmas & we hardly use it any more.
Every time I put her in there, she throws up (I always make sure to wait at least an hour after a feed) & then starts to grizzle. She doesn't actually jump in it either. She just kinda dances around.
Do I have it too high or too low? The tips of her toes just touch the ground. She doesn't seem to be heavy enough to pull the spring down. Therefore, it doesn't jump up.
Any tips?
