Does it annoy you if your DP / DH/ DF doesn't answer his mobile phone?

Hi All..

I am on the war path with this subject!..

Grrrr!.. I am so sick to death of my DF not answering his damn mobile phone when I call him... It just drives me flipping mental!..

From time to time I phone DF after 5:30PM to see where he is and what time roughly he will be home, because I have the evening meal cooking and like to know how long it will be until I have to serve to food on the plates.. On top of this I have my very annoying 3 year old asking me every flipping 5 seconds "Where's Daddy?" Where's Daddy?" Where's Daddy?"... And trust me, after you have heard that for the 100th time, you just feel like killing him!.. :banghead: :mad:

Anyway, DF went to the Chiropractor last night to get his back cracked - as I call it, and the appt was 6:00PM.. I phoned him at 6:30PM cos surely It doesnt take 30 mins to have your back cracked, - I have been to a chiro myself, and there is no way it has ever taken that long.. Anyway.. I rang DF and of course, the (insert expletive here) did not answer his fone... This just infuriates me! He tells me that when the phone rang, he was on the table getting cracked, and I asked him "Well why couldn't you phone me after he was finished?"..

I got so mad with him that he ended up sleeping on the Sofa in the lounge last night...!

There has been other times where he hasnt answered his damn phone as well...! He knows I only phone him when I really need to know something!..

Does your partner not answering their mobile phone annoy you as much as it does me, or is it just me? I mean, why have a damn mobile if you aren't going to flipping answer it?.. :banghead: :mad:

Only if hes not at work. Hes not supose to have his moblie on at work, he does though..So if i get his inbox thing i know he cant answer his phone at that moment. He always rings back as soon as he can. But it does drive me nuts if he does'nt have it on when hes out...My mum is the worst for it, im always saying to her whats the point of having a mobile if you never have it on:banghead:

my dp does this all the time, that is what the d@mn phone is for. or he will just leave it at home and then when i try to call i hear it ring, ggrrrrr:banghead:

my DH always answers his phone. but on the rare chance he dosnt its because he's busy. i wouldnt let it get to you he probably does it to annoy you personally if i was being called at 6:30pm when my appointment was at 6pm i wouldnt call back either. he probably finds it just as annoying that you call him.. on the other hand he should answer his phone or atleast "let you know" by sms

My DH is pretty good, 9 times out of 10 he will answer his mobile phone, whether he is at work or not. The only time he consistently doesn't is if he's out for work drinks and its too loud for him to hear it (although I've told him to keep the phone handy and on vibrate, as usually the call is about me picking him up!!).

To be honest, its DH who is :hair: at me, as I am the one who has the phone switched off when I'm at work (but he can reach me via email or my work no), or I don't answer because I'm driving or DD has hidden my phone. He gets very frustrated :banghead: as he feels he can never get me on the phone!! I feel that I am very available on the phone, but he would definately disagree!!

If DF doesn't answer my call the first time I will call back straight away because he often just gets to his phone when I hang up but if he still doesn't answer then I always send a text with something like 'whatever' and he'll call back straight away because he hates me being p!ssed with him!! :D

DP always answers his phone, the only time he wont is when he is driving (cause its in his work bag in the boot, not because he is well behaved:p )

but i think if he didnt answer it all the time i would get peeved

DP always has his phone on him because he needs it for work. He usually answers it and if he doesn't then he's probably inside a boiler or welding or doing something that he can't stop to answer the phone. I usually leave him a voicemail msg and if I don't then he'll normally call back.

He's really pretty good but yes it does annoy me sometimes when I really need to get on to him, eventhough I know it's not really his fault :o

My DP did the same thing and I was FURIOUS. I was like "Get over yourself, I have better things to do than harass you just cause you're not here. I'm calling you because I need you/need to know something".
I don't know why it gets to me so badly, but it's definitely a pet peeve...

It used to, but then I got so sick of his rubbish that I took some drastic measures...

In our case, he was jobless and would go out for the ENTIRE DAY, not contact me at all, turn up home at whatever time in the evening he wanted, then bollock me because his evening meal wasn't on the table waiting for him/was cold/wasn't ready yet. :rolleyes:

And, I DID call and he chose to answer his phone, I would be accused by him and his brother of nagging. When I would NEVER call before late afternoon. :rolleyes:

It drives me INSANE, he always has it on silent or vibrate or is busy or what :banghead:

So i just ring and ring and ring, Ive stopped answering mine when he calls so he usually answers it now because he has realised how annoying it is:yelclap:

Yeah, it annoys me. I usually ring the guy that he works with, who ALWAYS answers his phone. He's alot more reliable than DH.

Once I got so mad that he didnt answer the phone I turned it off and hid it for 3 days. He got very angry, but I figured that there was no point in him having a phone if he answer it.

its one of my pet hates! he normally answers it if he's at work, if he's really busy he might not but he'll normally call me back.
its when he goes out with his mates at night. he has a tendency to turn his phone off as he doesnt want me calling him to find out what time he's coming home. it drives me mad!! he says he's going to be home at 1 and when he's not home at 1.30 i call him to make sure he's ok and he's turned his phone off presumably so i cant 'nag' him. so i'm always wondering if he's got into a fight or been arrested ect.
he's gone out tonight and ive told him to be back at 12. im having a baby on fri and if i do go into labour tonight and he's p*ssed as a fart and turned his phone off i will beat him then divorce him :laughing:..but seriously i will!
