Hi everyone.

I am going on holidays next week and Claire, Lindy and i were hoping to catch up. So i can meet some of the bubhubbers. As i won't have a computer after Friday i will be relying on mobile phones. We were hoping to get to a play cafe SOR so if anyone else wanted to make it, Please let us know, what day and if morning or arvo suits you better.:)

I will post back with some places i find, if anyone has any ideas please post them.

Guys I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Ivy watson playground is undergoing renovations and most of the playground equipment is currently fenced off. Next week they are pulling up all the turf etc and from then on most of it will be a no go area. :( I rang to double check before posting this and the guy I spoke to said hopefully it would only be three months so it should be ok by term 2.

You could move around to the Western Power playground - it's got lots of play equipment and a cafe but the play equipment is a bit bigger.

oo sounds pretty good to me but we wont be able to come til about 3/3.30pm depending on when Maya wakes...we stopped doing our routine and let her sleep when she likes now so it adds a bit of uh...confusion to my days and means i cant plan too well! would love to come though so ill see what i can do! It would be great if you could come. I will probably leave about 4pm cause I have to take freeway south with is never a pleasure around that time. I would be happy to PM my mobile number and you can give me a call when you know what time your coming and see if we will still be there.
I am not sure what time everyone else would leave, so they may be there later.

I have just checked back to the post Roxie made and it is the Lottery west area that is closed - pity cause it is good there. They have closed the enclosed play area for refurbishment but the cafe is still open. Otherwise the western power are is the only other bit i have been to, there are kids play parts, but for the older kids, there is lots of grass to sit on and a cafe. it has its own webpage as below

Okay I just checked the weather forcast for Thursday and it is 33 deg, I know this could change so probably best check nearer the time. Is that okay for everyone? we can find a shaded bit to sit under, or will it be too hot for the little ones? Would you rather go inside somewhere? I have done a search but cant seem to find details on play cafe or anything like that.

Of course you can come to the next meet, it will be great to meet you then. I see our little ones are close in age so we can chat while running after them!!! It is at Kings Park, but not sure where yet, possibly the western power area, just waiting for everyone to see the posts and agree or disagree. How about i meet you all in march on a sat arvo in a play centre (we have one in albany called wigglesn giggles where the kids play and the mums can sit and have a coffee and lunch or whatever) I am sure there is one like that in cannington. Would anyone be interested in that if so could someone look out for a place like that and see what times there open on a wkend. Whitemans park is supposed to be really nice aswell.

Claire- I had a look at the Western Power website too.

Perhaps we could meet at the cafe there, called the Zamia Cafe I think. Then we could suss out if the equipment is any good or just bring a ball and things and let the kids play on the grass. I don't know much about Kings Park though, just a suggestion. Then people can arrive when they feel like it rather than missing out if we all walk with prams together from one spot? :)

I think thete is some play stuffs for Matthew's age, but I would bring a ball anyway incase it is too far out of sight and at least he can kick the ball round about where we are. Aiden will join in, he loves playing ball, going to be a footballer!!! watch out David Beckham!!!

I found the cafe on the Western Power Playground website, a link is in one of Claires posts in this thread. It says that it is the Cafe for that area, a map is on that site. I should go and look where it is exactly because I have only been to Kings Park once. I will probably be driving round in circles :o

As you may have guessed I am not there. Little old Aiden decided he didnt need a morning sleep and went down about 1.30pm. I think he can sense that I have plans so he plays up, never fails, I am surprised he was okay on friday when we went to beach house, mind you, he did get grumpy tired and had to be taken home. He was asleep before I passed Ikea!

Sounds like you all had fun,
I was dissapointed I couldnt make it. I wasnt having a good mother - baby day yesterday and was in bed with a migrane by 9pm. I think he knows his dad is away so plays up. I am blaming the molars for the foul mood and constant whinging, but who knows. I am sure I would have spent the whole afternoon running after him.
I think the next meet should be at night - in a bar - where they serve alcohol!
I know it is good for th little ones to meet up, but surely it is good for the mummys to let their hair down?????
anyway the little angel is sleeping now, so off to do some work.
