My girls have all slept in a bassinette and my first had a cradle.
In a bassinette... right beide my bed!! :thumbsup:

DS was in a bassinette from birth to 12 weeks, then he went to his cot, now he sleeps with us.

not sure if ur spose to do this but the only place seth would sleep as a new born at night was in his bouncer, he always had a strong head and slepts fine in it, would be really unsetlled in everything else untill 3months old. was this bad for his neck ???
were all over the place he sleeps in his cot bassinet and co-sleeps depending on the time of the sleep

Doubt it.. some babies due to medical problems need their mattresses raised anyway.

DS1 + DD both went straight into a cot. DS2 was in a bassinet in our room but we co slept with him as well.

DD has been in a cot in her own room since day one. Has only co slept once.
In his Bugaboo for about five months. It was great because earlier in the evening he could stay in the lounge room with us and then sleep in his room or our room as required. I also travelled interstate a fair bit so it was great to take his bed with him.

All my babies have been reflux bubs and so they slept best in their cot raised at the top. DD2 I had a special piece of foam made but DD3 I just put the cot end on some bricks until she started moving around.
We started with the cot in our room, but I can't sleep with DD3 in our room cause she makes too much noise while sleeping, kept me awake too much and I had to shift her to her own room in a matter of days!!
Bassinet beside my bed :)

for ds1 he was in a basseniet for a little while and then we started co-sleeping
the twins went into basseniets for the first few nights but jordan wouldnt settle without being next to sophie so they both sleep in the same cot in our room

DD went straight into a cot in her own room as soon as we came home from hospital, and it's still that way now, unless she's unwell and wakes in the night then we bring her into our bed cuddle her until she's asleep then put her back in her room.
With #2 we have a cot set up in our room with the drop-side removed, so we're all ready to side-car the cot with our bed. We will have it this way until #2 is sleeping through the night them we'll have DD and #2 in the same room :)
P.S - Chrissa - Co-sleep means the baby sleeps either in the bed with you, or you side-car the cot with your bed so it's like you are in the same bed.
DS1 slept in a bassinet then a portacot till he was 9 months old then a normal cot then a bed by 1yr old
DS2 went straight into his cot and he is nearly 1 and will be staying there for a while longer.

I kind of moved into her room with her, once she was too long for the bassinet.
So she slept in her cot in her room, and I had a single bed in her room.
And then brought the cot in next to the double bed.
And then took the cot out and put her in her own room :laughing:
we co-slept! bubs had a bassinette... but wouldnt use it, and it was easier for feeding with him in our bed anyway :)
In my cradle that my parents slept me in as a baby. Its been passed down and Im gonna use it for this new bub too(if he plans on arriving :rolleyes: )
Its not too old fashioned, just dark timber and quite big compared to what they are now.

From Birth with me even in hospital still sleeping with me nearlly 10 months on Oh how I wish I put her in the cot from the start :laughing:
For the 1st month DS slept in a bassinet in our room and in his second month, we bought our new home he got his own room, we moved his bassinet in there. At 3 months we bought him a cot and he still sleeps in there now.

I actually realising I quite like co-sleeping esp in Winter.
DS was in our bed till he was 10mths.

DD was in abassinete in our room but ended up sleeping in her pram for about 6 weeks, it was the only place i could get her to stay asleep! After those 6 weeks in the pram she was too big for her bassinete we had to go out and buy a cot!!

My DS and DD slept in a bassinette until they were about 6mths and then moved to a cot!! I loved them in the bassinette!!! :D

Seth slept in a tetra mattress in the newborn insert in the portacot down stairs through the day (or in our arms) and at night we'd move the tetra mattress upstairs to his cot in the nursery.

we co-slept and for the majority of the time still do. I only occasionally put him in his cot.
