 hello..
Im a newbie!
I am just wondering if any of you have.. or have had the dreaded PUPPS rash??
I developed it 5 days before i had my son ( now 1 week old).. adn i am now covered ankel to boob in a very itchy red rash..
I went to the dr and was given a topical cream that works for a while.. but still not 100%..
Ive heard lavender oil dabbed straight on the rash helps..
any ideas would be so helpful.. before i use a cheese grater to itch myself.. lol

Hello,
I had this rash - I remember it being so annoying! Drove me absolutely nuts.
My Ob advised that I have baths in Pinetarsol and use Alpha Keri lotion on my body as a moisturiser after each bath. From memory I only had to do it for a few days and then it was gone. I was still PG at the time and I did have a slight recurrence a week or so later but it went away quickly.
The pinetarsol really relieved the itchiness which was all I cared about at the time, butthe combination of the pinetarsal and the lotion worked really well.
I hope you get some relief soon.

i had that while pregnant with DS
i went mad!!
go down the street and by yourself some dandelion root capsules
you should be able to get the from a health food shop
these were the ONLY thing that worked for me.
i tired everything that i could get my hands on from the chemist but NOTHING worked apart from the capsules.
they saved my sanity!

I picked up this horrible pregnancy related rash when iIwas 32 weeks & my doctor put me on steroids. He carefully monitored me & there was a whole regime involved from 1 tab to 1/2 tab to 1/4 tab etc.
I did not want to take drugs (wish I knew about this site then!)
I was desperate as I could not sleep, scratching till I bled etc.
I got a mild dose after my DD was born luckily it cleared up quickly with more drugs.
If I ever get it again I will try the Dandelon Root capsules as suggested.
