vent time !!!! ( sorry people!)

This wekend is our access weekend with my DH children who are 5 and 3.

We (DH & I), are at the end of our first IVF cycle and are in the 2WW. Anyway....

We told DH ex, that if the kids were sick this weekend that we couldnt take them because we both couldnt afford to get sick. She assured us that they werent sick and they hadnt been sick since the last fortnight we had them.

Sure enough when we got them on Friday night... THEY WERE SICK!!!!!! Temps, throwing up, a nasty nasty cough.. and to top it off... NO MEDICINE TO GIVE THEM !!!! I mean come on.. what part of are the kids sick doesnt she understand!!!!!!!!

And to cut a long story short ..... NOW IM SICK :gloomy:

why on earth would she send them if they are sick, regardless if they are sick she should have kept them home!

I know exactly how you feel..

I have a 9 month old who has a hole in his heart so can easily contract anything and everyhting that is going around.

We have my df 2 kids every second weekend and also have the "sick" policy, not that is ever stuck to on her behalf. She is continually sending them here sick and by the next weekend we are all sick as well.

So 2 weeks ago my son had gastro and been at the hospital all Friday night so we told df Ex how sick he was and it wasnt a good idea for her to drop off the girl. She said to us....i got plans and am not changing them, so we said fine but if they get sick dont blame us. So guess what happens... Sunday night we get a text saying they are both vomiting and we had to come get them and look after them. YEAH RIGHT.

Its just really hard to understand how a mother could deliberatly put her children in a home with a highly infectious child. Its like her night out was more important that the health of her children.

The health of our babies is so important, much more important than a night out!!!

Glad to see im not the only one who has this problem
