I have had my 12 week scan and everything is great with the babe. I had to have and internal and external so I really got to see everything really well, could see its little hands and legs and feet, it was quite amazing! The u/s doctor was poking around trying to get the babe to change positions so she could do all the measurements and all my results were really good.I got a DVD and just kept watching it at home and freaking out and crying....I feel like its all real now!
In the last few days I have miraculously started to feel better, a tiny bit of nausea but nothing like it has been (which was absolute hell!) Is anyone else on the mend yet?
Hope everyone is doing well and taking care of themselves, it is so great to be able to read about all your different thoughts on everything, it has helped me so much!
Take Care

I'm glad your u/s went well! Sounds great. Good to hear you are feeling better too.
I was just thinking this morning how I am feeling like a normal human being again. Nausea is gone, I am getting a little bit of engery back, I am not peeing quite so often & my boobs are not as tender as they were.
I would normally worry that my symptoms have gone, but I had my scan yesterday & everything is looking great.
I feel like I can start to enjoy my pregnancy now! I hope everyone else is starting to feel the same!

I feel exactly the same way...now I can think I am pregnant and enjoy it instead of having that little voice in the back of my head worrying! Having the 12 week u/s made it all sink in for me, so glad, that was a long three months!
I have noticed too my boobs are not as tender and today I woke up and thought I am going shopping, over the past weeks I have basically stayed home and slept all day off and on as I have been truly exhausted.
Feelin a bit like my old self but with a baby on the way...so unreal!
Take Care and glad to hear you are feeling better too...

Hello! I had my 12 week scan today too (although I'm actually 13 weeks). You're so lucky you got to see the legs and arms... my bub was so stubbornly sleeping curled up, even when poked, he/she just turned over without uncurling its limbs. I was really hoping for a wave or something! Still, for the first time I saw a "real" baby shape (had two other scans before this but they were really just jiggling blobs) - you're right, it really does seem "real" now :smiliedance:
As far as physically, I started to feel better around the 10-week mark - nausea etc. disappeared, which freaked me out a lot. Haven't had a chance to really enjoy it yet though because I've been fighting a horrible cold... typical! I'm sure once I'm healthy again I'll feel terrific.

I'm feeling more human now than I have in weeks. I had one last spew on Sunday night, hopefully that's the last. There's a tiny bit of residual nausea but it's totally manageable.
I was lucky I never had the pee frequency thing or sore boobs (lots of pelvic floor exercises during and after my last pregnancy  , and I only just stopped breastfeeding a month or so ago so my milk ducts didn't have to expand to anywhere ;))
We have our 12 week scan tonight, so it will feel more real then!
Glad to hear everyone is starting to feel a bit better.

Hi there,
seeing that baby in there just changes everything doesnt it! I wwas the same as I had earlier scans and you cant see anything as its too small but the 12 week scan was very different. Glad to hear you started to feel better at week 10, I am nearly 100%, still a bit of nausea of and on but thats it! Now I am wondering when I am gonna start to show! Im no Kate Moss to start with so I still look the same...can you tell your pregnant yet?
Keep in touch,
Kath
