Im not sure if this in the right place, mods feel free to move it!!!

I have a tube of bepanthen cream that is almost 10 months old!! I only use it about twice a month...i am lucky that dd does not get nappy rash!!!!

I was just wondering if it had a use by date?? i looked on the tube but cant seem to see anything. It comes out normally but a clear oil like substance came out today when i used it (for the first time in ages!!) is this normal or should i go and buy another tube??

It just separated a bit. It has two components: the ointment (the white stuff) and the barrier (the oily stuff).

10 months should be perfectly fine - they have a shelf life of a couple of years. Even if it is "out of date", it's still perfectly fine to use. The active ingredients of the ointment ages and so may lose effectiveness but it certainly won't harm the baby :)
