What does friction rash look like?

can anyone tell me if friction rash caused by nappies has a distinct look?

Not sure if you'd be reffering to cloth or disposables, but my DD now gets chaffing really bad on the inside of her thighs now that she's crawling.

She has really chubby thighs, and now when she crawls her thighs are rubbing against the PUL on her MCN's and comes out in this horrible really dry rash like chaffing. So i've been making the swap from PUL nappies to fleece nappies. Not sure if that will help you though if you're using disposables.

Perhaps if you are using disposables you could put a disposable liner in the nappy and have it sticking out so it covers the area that is getting the rash? Did that make sense?
